Long march town

When the commune was established in 1958, it was named "carrying forward the spirit of the Red Army".

Evolution of administrative districts
From the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the early Republic of China, the towns were divided into two parts: the upper part of Nantong in Heshui County, and the lower part of wanshidong and nanlaodong in Guihua County, Ding'an County.
In 1935, it belonged to Baoting county and Baisha County, including Shiwan Township, Nanliu Township and ShuangTian township.
In 1948 and 1949, they were assigned to Qiongzhong County.
In June 1950, Qiongzhong County was withdrawn from the county and returned to Baoting county and Baisha County.
In 1952, it returned to Qiongzhong County as Shiwan Township, the first district.

Changzheng town was established in 1986.
In 1997, with an area of 200.7 square kilometers and a population of 8000, it has jurisdiction over 10 village committees, including chaocun, Xinping, luofan, Nansha, Xinsai, Yanyuan, shistill, Wanzhong and Shenlian.
In 2002, Dalang Village of Changzheng town was under the jurisdiction of Yinggen town.
