Houjiamiao Township, belonging to Xuanhua District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of Xuanhua District, bordering gujiaying town and jiajiaying town in the East, Yanghe River in the south, Chunguang Township, Gongye street, Jianguo Street and Dabei street in the west, and jiajiaying town in the north. It is 2.4km away from Xuanhua District People's government, with a total area of 53.98km2.

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it was Houjiamiao Township in Xuanhua city; in 1956, it was changed into Houjiamiao street; in 1984, it was changed from Houjiamiao commune to Houjiamiao township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence of Hou Jia Miao township was 16051. As of June 2020, Houjiamiao township has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed at No. 15 Taisheng road.

In 1956, it was changed into Houjiamiao street.

In 1958, it was the management area of Houjiamiao in Chunguang commune.

In 1966, Houjiamiao commune was renamed Dongsheng commune.

In October 1981, Dongsheng commune was renamed Houjiamiao commune.
