Xiancun Street

Xiancun street, built in December 1999, is composed of the Xiancun area designated by Shahe Town. It is named because there is Xiancun in its jurisdiction. The street is located in the core area of the new central axis of Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province and in the north of Zhujiang New Town, starting from Yiheng road of Yuancun in the East, East drip line of Viaduct of South China expressway, South Subgrade of Huacheng Avenue and Huacheng Avenue in the south, East Subgrade of Guangzhou Avenue and Guangzhou Avenue in the west, and South Subgrade of Huangpu Avenue and Huangpu Avenue in the north.

The total area of the community area is 4.07 square kilometers, and the total number of people in the community area is 51284 (2010).

Xiancun Street starts from Yuancun Yiheng road in the East, Guangzhou Avenue in the west, Huacheng Avenue in the South and Huangpu Avenue in the north. With a total area of 4.07 square kilometers, the street has a village restructuring company (Xiancun Industrial Co., Ltd.) and seven communities (Xiancun, Xinqing village, yangjidong, paomadihuayuan, tanjun, Jincheng and Jinyuan communities), with a total population of 51284 (in 2010) and a population density of 9890 per square kilometer.

As an agency of Tianhe District People's government, Xiancun sub district office, on behalf of the government, performs urban management, community construction, spiritual civilization construction, comprehensive management, family planning, preferential care and relief, and assists the district government in other affairs. With the development and construction of Zhujiang New Town, Xiancun Street will become the financial, trade, cultural center and noble residential area of Guangzhou, the central business district of Guangzhou and the center of the new axis of the city.

After years of development, Xiancun's economy has formed four modern pillar industries: finance, commerce, service, accommodation and catering. There are nearly 4000 enterprises in Xiancun, 50% of which are wholesale and retail majors, 25% are service industries, and there are more than 50 well-known accommodation and catering industries in Xiancun. There are also 32 commercial office sites under construction. There are many large-scale high-grade commercial and residential buildings, all kinds of large shopping malls and supermarkets in the street area. The commercial and service industries are developed. The Pearl River Park is located in the hinterland of the Pearl River New Town, covering a total area of 280000 square meters. It is a park integrating viewing, recreation, culture and leisure.

Xiancun used to be one of the residential villages in Tianhe District, with Xiancun vegetable market and Xiancun residential building, located near Huangpu Avenue.

In 2010, Xian village began demolition.

In 2019, the first batch of residential buildings in Xian village will be renovated.
