Lutang Township
Lutang Township, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the northeast of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County. It is connected with Yushan Town in the East, Baojia town in the south, Puzi town in the West and Lianhe Township in the north. It is 50 kilometers away from the government of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, with a total area of 47.53 square kilometers.
During the Qing Dynasty, Lutang township was under the jurisdiction of shelin township; in April 1984, it was changed from Lutang commune to Lutang township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Lun Tang township was 8423. As of June 2020, Lutang rural area has jurisdiction over five administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in banliping.

In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), shelin Township and Qingshui Township merged to form a neighborhood.
In June 1951, Qingping and Lutang were divided into two townships.
