Yaochuan Township

Yaochuan township is located in the middle of Pan'an County, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It connects Shanhuan office and Fangqian town of Shanghu town in the East, Molin Township in the south, Shuangxi Township in the West and Jiuhe Township in the north. There is the scenic spot of Chifeng mountain in the territory. Yaochuan Township People's government is located in Yaochuan, 22 kilometers northeast of the county.

Historical evolution

The township is named after Yaochuan village. Yaochuan has a long history. According to Li Mi's "a gift to Zheng Rui to move to Yaochuan" and Lu Zhi's "Yaochuan Fu", Zheng Rui, a Jinshi of Tang Dynasty, lived in seclusion here in the 17th year of Zhenyuan (801), and was named Yaochuan after "deep forests, mountains and rivers, sweet springs, fertile soil, and lush vegetation". the 33 capitals of Ruishan township (Anwen) in Dongyang county were established in song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. in the Republic of China, it was 33 Du township (Lifu) in Anwen district. Tongde township (Yaochuan) was called township autonomy. In 1939, Pan'an County was established as Shuangxi township (Lifu). In 1951, Yaochuan township was established. In 1956, Yuanshan huanxiang River, tangkeng and baiyantou were included. In 1958, it was the Yaochuan management area of National Day commune (Shi mu). In September 1961, it was incorporated into Quanxi commune, located in Molin. in November 1983, Pan'an Fuxian was located in Quanxi township (Molin), Anwen District, Pan'an County. In June 1984, eight administrative villages including Chuanyi, Chuaner, cichi, Xi, tangkeng, baiyantou and yuchangkeng, which originally belonged to Shanhuan Township, were set up to establish Yaochuan township. The Township People's government was stationed in Yaochuan. in 1992, the district was withdrawn as a township directly under the county.

Yishanxia village in Yaochuan Township holds a grand Horse Festival every 10 years on August 13 of the lunar calendar. In memory of patriots in the late Ming Dynasty

In the second year of Hongguang in Ming Dynasty (1646), Zhu, the king of Lu, was a maritime supervisor. After Jianggan's defeat, he held a ceremony here to commemorate the soldiers who died in the Ming Dynasty. This mountain is now called Chifeng mountain, and the village is called cichi. There are portraits of Zhu Yihai, Zhang Guowei and Zhang Huangyan on the mountain to commemorate his immortal achievements of dying for his country.
