Potou Township

Potou Township, belonging to Linxia County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province, is located in the northeast of Linxia County, adjacent to Tuqiao town in the East, jinggou Township in the south, Nanyuan Township in the West and Yinchuan Township in Jishishan Baoan Dongxiang Salar Autonomous County, and Qiaosi Township in the north. The area is 17.53 square kilometers. In 2018, 7216 people registered residence.

In 1950, it was under the jurisdiction of Sanjiao Township, Linxia county. In 1958, the people's commune was established and assigned to the Potou brigade of Shangshe in Beiyuan. In 1961, it separated from Beiyuan commune and became the Potou brigade of triangle commune. In January 1989, the people's Government of Potou township was established after it was separated from the former triangle Township, which was subordinate to Linxia county. In October 2019, Potou countryside governs five administrative villages.

In 2018, there were 11 industrial enterprises in Potou Township and 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
