From the Tang Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, it was the hometown of Penglai. Daishan is located on an island. In ancient times, property was withered and few people settled down. In addition, rongbian was not easy, so the history of setting up a county was short.
In 1949, more than 30000 Kuomintang military and political personnel retreated from the mainland to the Daishan islands. In July, the Zhejiang provincial government of the Kuomintang was forced to set up Wengzhou county (analyzed from Dinghai county). The county government was stationed in donggaoxian temple, Gaoting Town, and the county was established in Daishan.
In 1950, Daishan was liberated, Wengzhou county was abandoned, and Dinghai county was restored.
In April 1953, in order to consolidate coastal defense, the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee decided to build Daishan County, where the county government was stationed at the shasun family of beitiefan, Dongsha town. Later, due to the small size of Dongsha town and the poor port, the area deviated too far from the center of the county.
In December 1955, with the approval of Zhejiang Provincial People's government, the county government (County People's Committee) moved to beida'ao village, Gaoting town.
In October 1958, Daishan County was abolished and merged into Zhoushan county.
In April 1962, the organizational system of Daishan County was restored and Daqu county was built (from the analysis of Daishan County and Shengsi county). County Government in Gaoting town center Dunzi (now Renmin Road). Daqu county government in daodou people's commune happiness brigade.
