Kecheng District, located in the west of Zhejiang Province, is located in the upper reaches of Qiantang River. It is adjacent to Qujiang District in the East, Changshan County in the West and Jiangshan City in the southwest. The terrain takes Qujiang River as the central axis, and the elevation of the north and south sides rises in turn. The territory has four distinct seasons and sufficient light. It has jurisdiction over 8 streets, 2 towns and 8 townships, with a total area of 609 square kilometers.
Kecheng, founded in 1921, is a national famous historical and cultural city approved by the State Council. It has many scenic spots, such as Kongzi's Nanzong temple, Lanke mountain in the south of the city, Jiuhua Mountain (lingjiu mountain) in the north of the city. Jiuhua Spring Festival is listed as the intangible cultural heritage of human beings. It has superior location and convenient transportation. The railway lines of Zhejiang Jiangxi, Hangchang, Qujiu, quning, and other expressways and national highways of Hangjin Quzhou run through the city, and the national highway of Hangjin Quzhou runs through the city Quzhou high speed railway will be opened in 2022, and civil aviation flights will connect Beijing, Shenzhen and other seven cities.
In 2018, Kecheng District achieved a total GDP of 19.258 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7%; the added value of the primary industry was 780 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 6.0%; the added value of the secondary industry was 4.341 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.3%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 14.137 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%.
Historical evolution
The territory of the Han Dynasty is Taimo County, Kuaiji County, county governance of Longyou County. In 192, Xinan county was set up at the end of Taiping period in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was subordinate to Kuaiji county and belonged to Xinan county.
In the first year of Taikang (280), Xin'an County was renamed Xin'an County. In 559, the third year of Chen Yongding in the Southern Dynasty, Xin'an County was established, and Xin'an County was stationed in zhengrongling. Three years later, Xin'an County was abolished. In 621, Wude of Tang Dynasty established Quzhou in Xin'an County, which belongs to Xin'an County of Quzhou. In 686, chuigong was restored to Quzhou. In the first year of Tianbao (742), the state was changed into a county. Qianyuan first year (758) to restore the state.
In the first year of Xiantong in Tang Dynasty (860), Xin'an County was changed to Xi'an County, which belongs to Xi'an county. The county government was stationed in zhengrongling and then moved to renshoufang.
In 1276, Quzhou road was set up; in 1359, Quzhou road was renamed Longyou mansion, which was located in Fushan; in 26, Longyou mansion was renamed Quzhou mansion.
In the first year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1522), Jin Qu was stationed in Daoqian street.
In 1644, the first year of the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, Quzhou Prefecture was renamed Quzhou Prefecture; in the third year, Quzhou Prefecture was renamed Jinqu XUNDAO, and Daozhi was stationed in zijinfang; in the fifth year, the governor of Zhejiang and Fujian was stationed in Beimen Academy; in the fifteenth year, Quzhou Prefecture was moved to Wenzhou. In the ninth year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty (1670), Jin Qu strictly guarded the road and stationed at Daoqian street; in the 12th year, the governor of Zhejiang stationed in the school; in the 21st year, he moved to Hangzhou. In 1734, Jin and Qu strictly patrolled the road and stayed in Daoqian street; in 1911, Xi'an county was sacked in July, and the county affairs were managed by the government, which belonged to Quzhou Prefecture. In the revolution of 1911 in October, Quzhou military and political sub government was set up, and its territory was subordinate to Quzhou military and political sub government.
In February of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the military and government branch of Quzhou was abolished, and Quxian county was named after the county. Its territory belonged to Quxian County, and the county government was stationed in Daoqian street. In 1914, Quzhou was under the jurisdiction of Jinhua Road and Daoyin was stationed in Daoqian street. In the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927), the road was withdrawn, and Quxian county was directly under the provincial government. The county government was stationed in front of the martyr's temple. The next year, Quxian county was transferred to the supervision district of Quxian County, Zhejiang Province. In May 1932, the first county administrative supervision district of Zhejiang Province was set up in Quxian county. In August 1935, it was changed into the administrative supervision district of Quxian County; in July of the next year, it was changed into the fifth administrative supervision district of Zhejiang Province. In 1946, there were seven townships in Zhengrong town and Xiacun, Shiliang, Yuxiu, Hangbu, Gouxi, Jiangjun and Huangtan. In April 1948, Quxian county was subordinate to the third administrative supervision district of Zhejiang Province. The district first settled in Fushan and moved to Jiangshan in August.
After the liberation of Quzhou on May 6, 1949, the Quzhou military control committee of the Chinese people's Liberation Army carried out military control. On the 20th, the people's Government of Quxian county was established. The people's government was stationed in front of the Zhonglie Temple (moved to Xuejie in September 1950). On June 7, the urban and suburban areas were under the jurisdiction of Quzhou City (county level).
In May 1953, Chengguan District returned to Quxian county.
In March 1955, the special office of Quzhou was abolished, and Quxian county was under the jurisdiction of Jinhua special region.
In September 1958, the district was withdrawn and the people's commune was established. The people's commune has a management area. There are Hongzhuan (Chengguan) people's commune, Weixing (Hangbu) people's commune, Dongfeng (Shiliang) people's Commune and its management area, garden and Huashu management area of upstream (Houxi) people's commune, and Shishi management area of Heping (Dazhou) people's commune.
In September 1961, the grand commune was changed into a district office, and the administrative area was merged into a people's commune. There are four districts (towns) and 15 people's communes in the territory. In May 1981, Quxian county was renamed Quzhou City (county level).
On May 15, 1985, Jinhua District was abolished, and Quzhou City, Kecheng district and Qujiang District of Quzhou City (renamed Quxian County in December) were established. Kecheng district has jurisdiction over two streets of Shangjie and xiajie, and eight townships of Shishi, Xiazhang, Wangcun, Huangjia, Wantian, Fushi, Kecheng and Huayuan.
On December 10, 2001, Quzhou adjusted its urban administrative divisions. The State Council approved the abolition of Quxian county and the establishment of Qujiang District of Quzhou City. Four townships of Huashu, Gouxi, Qili and Jiuhua and two towns of Hangbu and Shiliang in Quxian county were put under the jurisdiction of Kecheng district.
