Aruhorqin banner, one of the seven banners in Chifeng City, is located in Tianshan town. At first, aruhorqin was the name of Mongolian tribe. Aru means Shanbei and Horqin means archer. Arhorqin banner is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northeast of Chifeng City. It is adjacent to Zhalute banner of Tongliao City in the East, Kailu County of Tongliao City and Wengniute Banner of Chifeng City in the south, Balinyou banner and Balinzuo banner of Chifeng City in the west, and xiwuzhumuqin banner of Xilinguole League in Inner Mongolia in the north. It covers an area of 14277 square kilometers. AQI belongs to the South Branch of Daxing'an Mountains and has a temperate continental climate.
Aruhorqin banner is a banner mainly based on animal husbandry, and animal husbandry economy is the main economic pillar. In 2016, the GDP reached 11.7 billion yuan. In March 2020, with the approval of the government of the autonomous region, we will withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name aruhorqin as a national health county for the period of 2017-2019.
Evolution of organizational system
During the reign of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty, the flag was set up. Horqin is the name of Mongolian tribe in Ming Dynasty, which means "guards with bow and arrow". ALU, which means "North", is named because it was once stationed in the north of AI mountain in Hangzhou. In the spring and Autumn period, the Warring States period and the Qin and Han Dynasties, they belonged to Donghu, Xiongnu, Wuhuan and Xianbei. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, it was a nomadic land in Qidan. In Liao Dynasty, it was Shangjing Daowu state. In the Liao Dynasty, it belonged to linhuangfu in Shangjing. In the Jin Dynasty, Taizhou belonged to Beijing road. In Yuan Dynasty, it was the fiefdom of yelulugo, king of Liao Dynasty.
In the early Ming Dynasty, it was under the command of the northern parallel capital of ningwang, under the jurisdiction of the taining Wei, and was abolished in the first year of Yongle. In the 25th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty (1546), the 15th grandson of khibutuhasar, the younger brother of Genghis Khan, the Qing Taizu of kundulundai, who was nomadic in the area of Erguna River, haihar River and Hulunbeier lake, moved to the village, which was named as the northern archer.
From the 43rd year of Jiajing to the 3rd year of Chongzhen (1546-1630) in the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the Chahar tribe of the Northern Yuan Dynasty. In 1630, he was subordinated to the later Jin Dynasty.
In the eighth year of Tiancong (the seventh year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty, 1634) of the later Jin Dynasty, the Mongols were enfeoffed to pasture here. There were two banners in the Arhorqin tribe. In the first year of Chongde, the two banners were merged into one banner, which was called Arhorqin banner.
The first year of Shunzhi (1644 AD) of Qing Dynasty began to build aruhorqin banner, which is still used today. In 1639, it belonged to Zhaowuda League and was controlled by Rehe city. In the early Republic of China, it belonged to Rehe province.
In July of 1933, aruhorqin banner was occupied by the enemy and belonged to the puppet manxing Anxi province. In 1942, it was subordinate to the puppet Manchu general province of Xing'an.
On August 15, 1945, the Japanese aggressors were defeated and surrendered. On August 16, the aruhorqin banner was liberated, ending the 12 years' cruel rule of the Japanese aggressors. In October 1945, the people's Government of Arhorqin banner was established, under the jurisdiction of Rehe province.
On June 10, 1946, the Committee of Arhorqin banner was established. On May 20, 1949, aruhorqin banner was put under the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. On August 1, 1969, Zhaowuda League was transferred to Liaoning Province. On July 1, 1979, it was put under the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
In 2000, aruhorqin banner had jurisdiction over 6 towns, 10 townships and 11 Sumu: Tianshan Town, tianshankou Town, Kundu Town, Shuangsheng Town, Bayanhua Town, shaogen Town, Daode Sumu, Qaidam Sumu, balaqirude Sumu, Bayannur Sumu, bayanwendur Sumu, bayanbaolege Sumu, hansumsumu, zhagasitai Sumu, baolizhao Sumu, huhegeri Sumu Saihantalasumu Township, bayanbaote Township, dongshabutai Township, daolunrenmin Township, Xinmin Township, baichengzi Township, pingandi Township, Gangtai Township, Wulanhada Township, Xianfeng Township and qiaomaitala township. In 2001, huhegeri Sumu, Daode Sumu, baolizhao Sumu, zaistai Sumu, daolun Minmin Township and pingandi Township were abolished. After the adjustment of regionalization, aruhorqin banner governs 21 towns of Sumu.
In 2006, the administrative divisions of Sumu Township in aruhorqin banner were adjusted again. Gangtai Township, qiaomaitala Township, baichengzi Township, bayanbaote Township, Wulanhada Township, dongshabertai Township, bayannursumu Township, Daode Town, Qaidam Sumu Township, zhagasitai Town, bayanwenduersumu Township, bayanbaolegsumu Township were abolished. In 2014, the administrative division of Sumu Township in Arhorqin banner was adjusted again. The latest administrative planning includes 14 townships (Sumu), towns, one office and 245 villages (Gacha). The seven towns are: Tianshan Town, Shuangsheng Town, tianshankou Town, Kundu Town, shaogen Town, Bayanhua town and zagasitai town. Arhorqin banner is located in the middle of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, northeast of Chifeng City. Up to 2009, the total land area of aruhorqin banner is 14277 square kilometers. The soil is mainly composed of millet calcareous soil, accounting for 36%, followed by aeolian sandy soil, accounting for 27%, chernozem, accounting for 12%, and other less than 5%. There are 1.55 million mu of cultivated land in Arhorqin banner, of which 83% are dry slope land and 17% are irrigated land. The grassland area is 18.31 million mu, and the usable area is 15.6 million mu.
Biological resources
Up to 2009, there are more than 130 kinds of wild animal resources, such as red deer, roe deer, wild boar, pheasant, lark, swan, etc. There are nearly 300 kinds of wild plants, among which there are nearly 60 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines. The largest is ephedra, with a distribution area of 1.1 million mu and an annual output of 12000 tons of fresh grass. Wild herbs are widely distributed in the area, among which the output of Pteridium aquilinum, Flammulina velutipes, nettle and Sonchus Sonchus is the most. The annual collection of Pteridium aquilinum can reach more than 300000 Jin, and other wild herbs can reach 400000 tons. Wild herbs, as green food, can be introduced, domesticated and cultivated, and the output can be expanded for further processing. The main arbors are poplar and oak, of which the area of poplar is 400000 mu, the volume is nearly 950000 cubic meters, and the distribution area of oak is 850000 mu. The volume is 4.3 million cubic meters. The main shrubs are Prunus armeniaca, Caragana, Hippophae rhamnoides, Salix psammophila, etc.
water resource
As of 2009, there are four rivers in aruhorqin banner, three of which gather in the territory. They are the main water system of Xiliao River. The total groundwater reserves are 42.8 billion cubic meters, the exploitable reserves are 260 million cubic meters, there are four small and medium-sized reservoirs, 51 lakes, the surface area is 300000 mu, and the total surface water is 1339.3 billion cubic meters.

Up to 2009, more than 40 kinds of minerals have been found in Arhorqin banner, among which the non-metallic minerals are rich and the mining conditions are good.
