History of construction
In 1886, Nakang deba was changed into shenzazong, which was directly appointed by the gaxia government of Tibet, and was under the jurisdiction of the gaxia government until the democratic reform in Tibet.
In 1959, the Preparatory Committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region merged the yamudi, bazha, zhunbu, Talma, Jialong and other tribes of the former Shenzha sect and the later Dana lunzhuzeluka in Tibet, as well as the kanbachasang, Xingou and Duoba, Kapeng, Dowa, zhuowa and other tribes of the xietongmenluka into Shenzha County, covering an area of 198000 square kilometers. Under the jurisdiction of Naqu City, the county government has been stationed in gangsangduodi (Shenzha town).
In 1977, with the approval of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the seven districts and one commune in the county were further divided into two offices (county-level units), namely, the Ministry of education and culture and Shuanghu, which were directly under the leadership of Naqu administrative office.
On December 26, 2012, Shuanghu Special Administrative Region was withdrawn and the CPC Shuanghu County Committee was established.
In 1987, Tongyi Township in Xinji District of bange county was transferred to Shenza county.
