Hejiang County, under the jurisdiction of Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the junction of Sichuan, Chongqing and Guizhou, and in the southern edge of Sichuan Basin. It is adjacent to Jiangyang District, Naxi district and Luxian County in the west, Jiangjin District of Chongqing in the East, Yongchuan District in the north and Chishui City and Xishui County of Guizhou Province in the south. Hejiang county is 38.7km away from Luzhou City, 260.1km away from Chengdu City and 109.2km away from Chongqing city. It is the first port county where the Yangtze River flows out of Sichuan. There are 54km of the Yangtze River and 57km of the Chishui River in Hejiang county. Two expressways, i.e. yiluyu and Chengzi Luzhi, run through the whole area.
Hejiang county was built in the second year of Yuanding (115 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, and is one of the three earliest counties in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. There are National Forest Park, provincial scenic area, Fubao tourist area, Fubao ancient town and Yaoba ancient town, and Fawang temple.
In 2017, Hejiang county achieved a GDP of 18.99 billion yuan and a total of 1.08 billion yuan of local general public budget revenue. On December 13, 2018, it was selected into the list of agricultural products advantage areas with Chinese characteristics. On January 25, 2019, it was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" Demonstration County in 2018.
Historical evolution

In the second year of Yuanding (115 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, Fuxian county was set up, which was under the jurisdiction of Qianwei County, and the peace and order leshuihui, which is now the Nanguan section of Hejiang town. Yuanfeng five years (106 BC), under the Yizhou Qianwei county.
In the new dynasty (9-24 years), Wang Mang changed Fuxian county to Fuxin County, subordinate to the yongbu Xishun county. Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-26 years), Liu Xiu changed Fuxin County to Fujie County, which was subordinate to Qianwei County of Yizhou. In the 18th year of Jian'an (213 years), Fujie county was subordinate to Jiangyang County of Yizhou. In 265-274 of the Taishi period of Emperor Wu of the Western Jin Dynasty, Fuxian county was renamed and subordinate to Jiangyang County of Yizhou.
In the period of the Han Dynasty (303-347), Fu County was subordinate to Jiangyang County of Yizhou. After the third year of Yonghe (347) of emperor mu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Fuxian county was renamed Anle County, and was subordinate to Dongjiang Yangjun County of Yizhou. In the Southern Song Dynasty (420-479), Anle county was abolished.
In the Southern Qi Dynasty (480-502), Anle county was restored and Anle garrison was set up. In Datong (535-545), dongjiangyang county was changed to Luzhou, under the jurisdiction of Jiangyang County, and Anle garrison was subordinate to Jiangyang County of Luzhou. In the fourth year of Baoding (564) of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Anle garrison was abolished and Hejiang county was established, which was subordinate to Jiangyang County of Luzhou. In the third year of kaihuang (583) of the Sui Dynasty, Hejiang county was abandoned, which was subordinate to Luzhou. In the third year of Daye (607) of Sui Dynasty, Luzhou was changed into Luchuan County, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luchuan county.
In 618, the first year of Wude in Tang Dynasty, Luchuan county was changed into Luzhou, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou. In the early Tang Dynasty, the county government moved to Baisha Town. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), the whole country was divided into ten roads, and Hejiang was subordinate to Jiannan road and Luzhou. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Luzhou was changed into County, Luzhou into Luchuan County, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luchuan county. In the second year of Zhide (757), jiannandao was divided into Dongchuan and Xichuan, and Hejiang was subordinate to Dongchuan County of jiannandao. In the first year of Qianyuan Dynasty (758), Luchuan county was changed to Luzhou, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou, Dongchuan County, Jiannan road. In the 12th year of Yuanhe (817), the county government moved back to the former site, which is now the Nanguan section of Hejiang town.
In the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Hejiang still belonged to Luzhou.
In the third year of Qiande in the Northern Song Dynasty (965), Xichuan road was set up in the East and west of Jiannan Road, and Hejiang was under the jurisdiction of Luzhou. In the fourth year of Xianping (1001), Sichuan is now divided into four roads: Yizhou Road, Zizhou Road, Lizhou road and Kuizhou road. Hejiang is subordinate to Zizhou road and Luzhou. In the third year of Daguan (1109), chunzhou was established in the county, with Anxi County and Jiuzhi County under its jurisdiction; Zizhou was established in the southeast of the county, with Chengliu and Renhuai counties. In the first year of Chonghe (1118), Zizhou road was changed to tongchuanfu Road, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou. In 1121, Jiuzhi County, Anxi County and chunzhou were abolished. Anxi County was changed into anxizhai, Jiuzhi County into Jiuzhi City, and Zizhou was changed into Wudu City, with Renhuai as the fort, which was merged into Renhuai. In 1262, Luzhou was changed to jianganzhou, and Hejiang was subordinate to jianganzhou, Tongchuan Fu Road.
In 1278, Hejiang was subordinate to xingzhongshu Province in Shaanxi and Sichuan provinces. The county government moved to Jimin city in the south of the Yangtze River (now huangshiba, Changjiang village, Sanqiao township). In the 22nd year of Zhiyuan (1285), Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou, xuanweisi, Sichuan Province. In the 28th year of Zhiyuan (1291), Hejiang was subordinate to Sichuan and other places. In the 22nd year of Zhizheng (1362), Ming Yuzhen occupied Sichuan, and Hejiang was subordinate to the military and civilian government of Luzhou in Daxia.
In July of the fourth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1371), Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou Zhili Prefecture in Sichuan Province. In June of the ninth year of Hongwu (1376), Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou Zhili Prefecture of Sichuan Province. The county government moved to the old city at the beginning of Hongwu.
In 1662, Hejiang was subordinate to Zhili Prefecture of Luzhou, Sichuan Province. In 1802, Hejiang was under the jurisdiction of Zhili Prefecture, Luzhou, South Yongning Road, Sichuan Province. In 1908, Yongning road in southern Sichuan was changed into xiachuannan Road, and Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou Zhili Prefecture, xiachuannan road in Sichuan Province.
In September of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the road was abolished and Hejiang was subordinate to Luzhou, Sichuan Province. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the Taoist system was restored. In March, the Prefecture Department was changed into a county, and Hejiang was subordinate to xiachuannan road in Sichuan Province. In June 1914, xiachuannan road was renamed Yongning Road, and Hejiang was subordinate to Yongning road. In October of 1929, he Jiang was subordinate to Sichuan Province. In June 1935, Sichuan Province was divided into 18 administrative supervision districts, and Hejiang was subordinate to the seventh administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province.
In January 1950, the Central People's government set up the southwest administrative region and four administrative regions of Eastern, southern, Western and Northern Sichuan. Hejiang was subordinate to the Luxian District of southern Sichuan people's administrative office.
In January 1952, the Commissioner's office of Luxian County moved to Longchang County and changed its name to Longchang district. Hejiang was subordinate to Longchang District of South Sichuan administrative office.
In September 1952, four administrative districts were abolished and merged into Sichuan Province. Hejiang was subordinate to Longchang district.
On January 12, 1953, Longchang Commissioner's office moved back to Luzhou City and changed its name to Luzhou Commissioner's office.
In July 1960, Luzhou district was merged into Yibin District, and Hejiang was subordinate to Yibin District of Sichuan Province.
In September 1968, Yibin area was renamed Yibin area, and Hejiang was subordinate to Yibin area of Sichuan Province.
In June 1983, Luzhou city was established under the provincial jurisdiction, and Hejiang city was subordinate to Luzhou City, Sichuan Province.

There were three townships in Tang Dynasty.
In the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1078-1085), there were two townships and six villages. Six villages are Yaoba village, Anxi village, Qingshan village, Xiaoxi village, Toutou village and Shijun village.
In 1109, the county was divided into jiuzhizhai and Anxi Zhai, with Jiuzhi county and Anxi County under the jurisdiction of chunzhou and Jiuzhi city under the jurisdiction of the prefecture; in the southeast of the county, Jianzi Prefecture was under the jurisdiction of Chengliu and Renhuai counties.
In the third year of Xuanhe (1121), chunzhou, Jiuzhi county and Anxi County were abolished; Zizhou was abolished, and Renhuai was taken as the fort, which was merged into Renhuai fort.
After Jiading (1206-1224) in the Southern Song Dynasty, it had jurisdiction over Qili, 20du, 2 regiments, 441 teams and 2212jia. Seven Li are baihaoli, anxili, yunxiangli, shuibeili, baimali, daitanli and zhongdangli.
There were three townships in Yuan Dynasty.
In the Ming Dynasty, there were seven Li households.
In 1729, the county was divided into four townships, namely Dongxiang Shanghui, Zhonghui and Xiahui; Nanxiang Yanba, mingba, Bailu, huatou, DACAO and Xiaocao; Xixiang Dingshan, Sanhua, miaogao, Yaoba and Jiuzhi; BEIXIANG Tangping, Shiqiao and Yanjing.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the county was divided into 17 districts, under which there were regiments. Each district governs several regiments, each regiment has a number of a, each a has ten cards, and each card has ten households.
In December of the 37th year of the Republic of China, the county had jurisdiction over 44 townships, 553 townships and 5343a townships. Until 1949.
After liberation, in 1950, Hejiang was divided into 10 districts and set up a district office, named after the residence of the district office. Ten districts are Chengguan District, Wanglong District, Baisha District, Daqiao District, Xianshi District, Jiuzhi District, Fengming District, Rongshan District, Xiantan district and Fubao district. At the same time, the Baojia system was abolished and people's governments of townships and towns were established. There were 133 townships, 1 town and 562 villages in the county.
In 1992, the original 10 districts and 1 district level town, 66 townships and 6 township level towns were adjusted to 15 townships (reduced to 10 in 2011) and 14 towns (increased to 17 in 2011).

Baimi township was abolished and Baimi town was established. The people's Government of Baimi town was stationed in Baimi farm and governed the administrative region of Baimi township;
Hutou township was abolished and Hutou town was set up. The people's Government of Hutou town was stationed in yanbachang and governed the administrative region of Hutou township;
Erli township was abolished and fawangsi town was established. The people's Government of the town was stationed in erlichang and governed the administrative region of Erli township;
Shenbao township was abolished and Shenbao town was established. The people's Government of Shenbao town was stationed in Shenbao farm and governed the administrative region of the former Shenbao township.
