Yufeng District Yufeng District is under the jurisdiction of Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. It is the economic, tourism, cultural and transportation center of Liuzhou city. Yufeng District is located in the southeast of Liuzhou City, adjacent to Liubei District in the north, Liunan district and Chengzhong District in the west, Liujiang District in the South and Luzhai County in the East. The administrative area of Yufeng District is about 880.86 square kilometers. Yufeng District governs eight streets including Tianma, Jiahe, Rongjun, jianpanshan, Wuliting, Qilin, Bailian, Yanghe and four towns including Luorong, Luobu, Liyong and Baisha. In 2011, the permanent resident population is 340000 and the floating population is 80000.
On January 9, 2019, Yufeng District was selected as the "hometown of Chinese folk culture and art" in 2018-2020 by virtue of Yufeng song fair.
Historical evolution
As early as the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yufeng District was the largest agricultural market in Liuzhou. Before 1929, there were only some small industries in the area. In February 1929, Liuzhou Machinery Factory was built in Jila, which was the largest machinery factory in Guangxi at that time. After the beginning of the Anti Japanese War, a large number of industrial and commercial owners from the North moved to Liuzhou and set up a number of machinery repair, casting, automobile repair and other enterprises in Yufeng area, gradually forming Liuzhou's industrial zone.

In 2000, Yufeng District governed six streets: Tianma street, Jiahe street, Rongjun street, jianpanshan street, Wuliting street and Tanzhong street.
On June 22, 2002, the State Council approved (Guo Han No. 57): the suburban area of Liuzhou city was abolished, and the five villages of Shuinan, Jiahe, Jila, Shewan, Yanghe and Jila neighborhood committees in the original suburb of Yangjiaoshan town were put under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District; Tanzhong street in Yufeng District was put under the jurisdiction of Chengzhong district.
In July 2005, Yangjiaoshan Town, Yufeng District was abolished and two new sub district offices, Bailian and Qilin, were set up.
In January 2011, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved and agreed to adjust the administrative divisions of Yufeng District and Luzhai County of Liuzhou City: Luorong town of Luzhai county was put under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District of Liuzhou City as a whole. After the adjustment, the administrative area of Yufeng District was expanded three times.
On February 22, 2012, the government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved to adjust the administrative divisions of Yufeng District and Liubei District of Liuzhou City, and put Luobu Town, Liubei District of Liuzhou City as a whole under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District of Liuzhou city.

According to the fifth census in 2000, Yufeng District has a total population of 273589, including 32628 in Tianma street, 29436 in Jiahe street, 70337 in jianpan street, 58578 in Wuliting street, 64539 in Rongjun street and 18071 in Tanzhong street. Yufeng District is located in the southeast of Liuzhou City, covering an area of 122 square kilometers. After the adjustment, the administrative area of Yufeng District has been expanded three times.
On February 22, 2012, in accordance with the spirit of the people's Government of the autonomous region's reply on agreeing to put Luobu town in Liubei District of Liuzhou City under the jurisdiction of Yufeng District (GZH No. 307) and the notice of Liuzhou people's Government on printing and distributing the implementation plan for the adjustment of administrative divisions of Liuzhou City (gzf No. 35), Liuzhou municipal government held a working meeting on the adjustment of administrative divisions and announced that Liuzhou city would be adjusted Luobu town in North District is transferred to Yufeng District as a whole, and the current management mode of Luobu town remains unchanged.
