Qingxin District Qingxin District, under the jurisdiction of Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwest of Guangdong Province, adjacent to Yingde City and Qingcheng District in the East, Guangning County and Sihui City in the west, Yangshan County in the north and Qingcheng District in the south. Historical evolution
On January 7, 1988, the State Council approved the abolition of Qingyuan County and the establishment of Qingyuan City (prefecture level). The former Qingyuan County was divided into Qingcheng and qingjiao municipal districts. In 1992, Qingyuan City was abolished and Qingxin county was established.
In January 1988, except for Qingcheng, Fucheng and Zhouxin, the other 25 towns in Qingyuan County were under the jurisdiction of Qing suburbs. In June 1988, the 12 towns of Gaotian, Huilan, Shantang, Taiping, Qinhuang, Sankeng, Shijiao, Longtang, Yuantan, Jiangkou, Shengping and Gaoqiao, and the three agricultural and forestry farms of Yinzhan, Huaqiao and Tiantang, as well as the management division of Feixia, were under the jurisdiction of Qingcheng district; Taihe town was set up in the suburbs of Qing Dynasty, which was under the jurisdiction of the three village committees of Huangkeng, Yueyuan and Zhoutian. After the adjustment, 14 towns and Bijia forest farm were under the jurisdiction of Taihe, Zhukeng, Yuba, Heyun, Shima, Nanchong, Longjing, Shikan, Shahe, Xinzhou, Jintan, Shitan, Baiwan and Taoyuan. The district covers an area of 1875 square kilometers, 164 villagers' committees, 13 residents' committees and 2434 villagers' groups, with a total population of about 350000.
In January 1989, the municipal Party committee and government decided that Huilan, Sankeng, Taiping, Shantang, Qinhuang, Jiangkou, Gaotian, Gaoqiao, Shengping and Huaqiao farms, which were originally under the jurisdiction of Qingcheng District, should be under the jurisdiction of Qingcheng suburb. On June 6 of the same year, the municipal Party committee and government decided that Gaoqiao Town should be under the jurisdiction of Qingcheng district. In November of the same year, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved that Huilan, Sankeng, Taiping, Shantang, Qinhuang, Jiangkou, Gaotian and Shengping towns, Huaqiao farm and Tiantangshan forest farm were under the jurisdiction of Qing suburbs (Tiantangshan forest farm is a state-owned forest farm directly managed by the Municipal Forestry Bureau). In today's Feilaixia Town, it covers an area of about 12 square kilometers and has a population of about 300 people. The former Qingyuan County, the former suburb of Qing Dynasty and the present Qingxin county are not included in the sequence of towns and farms). In July 1995, Shengping town was put under the jurisdiction of Feilaixia district. The county covers an area of 2725 square kilometers, with 292 village committees, 24 neighborhood committees and 3848 villager groups. The total population is 694077.
From 2000 to 2002, Qingxin county had jurisdiction over 23 towns (Taihe, Yuba, Gaotian, Shengping, Jiangkou Huilan, Zhusan, Taihuang, Shima, Nanchong, Shikan, Zhukeng, Longjing, Taoyuan, Heyun, Shahe, Jintan, Shitan, Baiwan, Xinzhou, Qingqiao), 289 village committees and 23 neighborhood committees.
In May 2002, Qinhuang town was abolished, and the administrative areas under the jurisdiction of former Qinhuang town were merged into Taiping town; Huilan town was abolished, and the administrative areas of Huilan neighborhood committee and nine village committees of Feishui, Jingtang, Bailian, Tajiao, Jiaoxing, Xinzhou, WANQUN, Wanxing and Wuxing were merged into Taihe Town, and the administrative areas of Huizheng, lowland and and Dawan were merged into Shantang town.
In June 2003, Zhukeng Town, Qingqiao town and Xinzhou town were abolished and merged into Longjing Town, Jiangkou Town and Shahe Town respectively. In September 2003, Baiwan town was formally incorporated into Shitan town. At the end of 2003, there were 17 towns and Bijia forest farms in Taihe, Shengping, Gaotian, Jiangkou, Shantang, Taiping, Sankeng, Heyun, Shima, Nanchong, Longjing, Shikan, Shahe, Yuba, Jintan, Shitan and Taoyuan. In May 2004, Jiangkou Town, Shengping town and Gaotian town were abolished and Feilaixia town was merged. After the adjustment, Feilaixia town has jurisdiction over the administrative areas of the former Jiangkou Town, the former Shengping town and the former Gaotian Town, with a total area of 360.4 square kilometers and a total population of 70353. The town government is stationed in the former Shengping town government; the five towns of Shima Town, Nanchong town, Shikan Town, Zhukeng town and Nanchong town are abolished, and their administrative areas are merged into Longjing town. After the adjustment, Longjing town has jurisdiction over the administrative areas of yuanshima Town, yuannanchong Town, yuanshikan town and yuanlongjing Town, with a total area of 583.7 square kilometers and a total population of 111281. The town government is stationed in the former Longjing town; Yuba town and Shahe Town are abolished and their administrative areas are merged into Heyun town. After the adjustment, Heyun town has jurisdiction over the administrative areas of yuanyuba Town, yuanshahe town and yuanheyun Town, with a total area of 449.15 square kilometers and a total population of 110627. The town government is stationed in the former Heyun town government; Taoyuan town is abolished and its administrative area is merged into Jintan Town. After the adjustment, Jintan Town has jurisdiction over the former Taoyuan town and the former Jintan Town, with a total area of 464.9 square kilometers and a total population of 98915. The town government is stationed in the former Jintan Town Government. At the end of 2004, there were 9 towns and Bijia forest farm in Taihe Town, Shantang Town, Taiping Town, Sankeng Town, Feilaixia Town, Heyun Town, Longjing Town, Jintan Town and Shitan town. The county covers an area of 2725 square kilometers, with 207 village committees, 27 neighborhood committees, 3917 villager groups and a total population of 700562.
In 2009, Feilaixia town of Qingxin county was under the jurisdiction of Qingcheng district. At the end of 2009, Qingxin County, covering an area of 2353.41 square kilometers, has jurisdiction over 8 towns, including Taihe Town, Shantang Town, Taiping Town, Sankeng Town, Heyun Town, Longjing Town, Jintan Town and Shitan Town, 20 neighborhood committees and 179 administrative villages. The county government is located in Taihe Town.
In December 2012, Qingxin county was abolished and Qingxin District of Qingyuan City was established, with the former administrative region of Qingxin County as the administrative region of Qingxin district.

The rainfall is mainly concentrated in the flood season from April to September, accounting for about 80% of the annual rainfall, and the rainstorm is frequent.

Fresh area, abundant rainfall, many rivers. There are 12 main and tributaries with a catchment area of more than 100 square kilometers, mainly including Beijiang River, Binjiang River and its tributaries qinhuanghe River and Weizheng River, which belong to the Pearl River Basin and Beijiang River system.
Beijiang River is the largest river in Guangdong Province. It originated in Dayuling, Xinfeng County, Jiangxi Province. It flowed into Nanxiong of Jiangxi Province and then called Zhenshui. It flowed into Qujiang River and Wushui River and then called Beijiang River. It flowed southward to Sixianjiao, Sanshui River and Xijiang River and flowed into Pearl River. The main stream of Beijiang River has a total length of 468 kilometers and a catchment area of 46686 square kilometers. It flows through Taihe Town and Shantang town.
Binjiang, a tributary of Beijiang River, is the main river in the area. The whole basin is located in this area. It originates from Dawu Mountain in Shitan Town, northwest of the area. The upstream is called dayanshui, and it is called Binjiang after shitanxu and Baiwan water meet. From northwest to Southeast, it flows through Jintan, Heyun, Longjing, Taihe and other towns, and then flows into Beijiang River through Feikou. The main stream is 97 km long, with a catchment area of 1728 km2, an average slope of 1.1 ‰ and an average annual runoff of 2.57 billion cubic meters.
Dayanshui is the upstream section of the main stream of Binjiang River, from dawushan to shitanxu. The river is 17 kilometers long, with a catchment area of 113 square kilometers, an average slope of 12.8 ‰ and an average annual runoff of 134 million cubic meters.
Baiwan water (also known as "Qinglongzhai water") is a primary tributary of Binjiang river. It originates from Xueding mountain in former Baiwan town and flows into Binjiang river at shitanxu. The river is 21 kilometers long, with a catchment area of 107 square kilometers, an average slope of 11.8 ‰ and an average annual runoff of 141 million cubic meters.
Huangdong water, a primary tributary of Binjiang River, originates from Tiantang mountain in Taoyuan town and flows into Binjiang river at liuliang cave in Jintan Town. The river is 37 kilometers long, with a catchment area of 232 square kilometers, an average gradient of 12 ‰, and an average annual runoff of 302 million cubic meters.
