Longhua District Longhua District, subordinate to Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the geographical center and urban development axis of Shenzhen, adjacent to "six districts and one city", Dongguan City and Guangming District in the north, Longgang in the East, Futian, Luohu, Nanshan in the south, and Bao'an in the West. On January 7, 2017, Longhua District was officially established as an administrative region. Historical evolution
Longhua District
In the Neolithic period, people lived in Qinghu village of Longhua. During the Ming Dynasty, Miao people once moved here, and then moved away.
During the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1862-1874), some Hakkas moved from Meixian and Dongguan to Longhua, and initiated the construction of dikes, so Longhua became prosperous gradually.
During the period of the Republic of China, there was a Township Office in Longhua.
In October 1949, Bao'an county was liberated. The county people's government took over the power of each district and township, and successively set up three people's Union townships, 10 townships and one town. In Longhua area, there are two townships, Longhua and Minzhi.
In April 1950, Baoan county was divided into districts, and Longzhi township was under the jurisdiction of the third district of Baoan county.
In 1951, Baoan county was divided into four districts, 69 townships and one town. District 3 governs Longhua, Dalang, Qingsong and Minzhi townships.
In August 1955, the third district was renamed Guanlan district. In October 1956, Guanlan district changed its jurisdiction over Longhua, Pinus tabulaeformis and other townships.
In March 1958, Guanlan district was divided into Longhua Township and Guanlan Township. In October of the same year, Longhua Township and Guanlan Township merged to form the "red people's commune", which was later renamed Guanlan people's commune.
In July 1961, Longhua was separated from Guanlan people's Commune and established Longhua people's commune. The commune consists of six brigades: Dalang, Longhua, Longsheng, Minzhi, Sanlian and Pinus tabulaeformis.
In January 1963, Longhua people's commune was merged into Guanlan people's commune; in August 1975, Longhua people's commune was separated from Guanlan people's commune again, and established Longhua people's commune under the jurisdiction of Dalang and other six brigades.
In July 1983, Longhua people's commune was transformed into Longhua District, which has jurisdiction over 6 townships and 45 natural villages, including Dalang, Longhua, Minzhi, Sanlian, Qingsong and Longsheng.
In October 1986, Longhua District was changed into Longhua Town, belonging to Bao'an County, and its subordinate townships were changed into administrative villages. There are 7 administrative villages (Dalang, Longhua, Minzhi, Sanlian, Qinghu, Yousong, Longsheng) and 1 residents' Committee (market town).
In January 1993, Bao'an county was abolished and divided into Bao'an District and Longgang District. Longhua town belongs to Bao'an District. Under its jurisdiction, there are 8 administrative villages, 52 natural villages and 2 residents' committees of Jinglong and Longyuan, including Dalang, Longhua, Minzhi, Sanlian, Qinghu, Yousong, Longsheng and Shangtang.
In January 2004, Longhua, as a pilot unit of Shenzhen's urbanization, set up Longhua sub district office in "town to street" and communities in "village to residence", with 13 neighborhood committees in Shangtang, niulanqian, Minzhi, Xinlong, Sanlian, Jinglong, Longyuan, Qinghu, Pinus tabulaeformis, Dalang, Tongsheng, Longhua and Longsheng.
In April 2006, Longhua, as a pilot unit of Shenzhen's zoning adjustment and administrative system innovation, was divided into three sub district offices: Minzhi, Longhua and Dalang.
On October 27, 2011, the Shenzhen Municipal Party committee and government announced that a new functional new area, Longhua new area, will be added to Bao'an. The new Longhua new area includes Guanlan, Dalang, Longhua and Minzhi streets.
On December 30, 2011, Longhua new district was officially established, which was formerly Longhua town of Bao'an District, and then functional area was established on the basis of Bao'an District. It is one of the four new districts in Shenzhen, which is one of the measures in the master plan of Shenzhen (2010-2020).
On April 28, 2015, Guanlan street in Longhua new district was divided into Guanlan street, Guanhu street and Fucheng street.
On September 14, 2016, the State Council approved the Guangdong Provincial People's government and agreed to establish Longhua District in Shenzhen. Longhua street, Dalang street, Minzhi street, Guanhu street, Fucheng street and Guanlan street in Bao'an District of Shenzhen will be under the jurisdiction of Longhua District, and the administrative area of Longhua street, Dalang street, Minzhi street, Guanhu street, Fucheng street and Guanlan Street will be the administrative area of Longhua District Longhua District People's government is located at No.1 Yanhe Road, Guanlan street square.
