Nanxiong City is a county directly under the financial management of Guangdong Province. Historical evolution

Qin, belonging to Nanhai County, Han Dynasty, is Nanye County, belonging to Yuzhang county. When Emperor Shun of the Eastern Han dynasty built Kang, he belonged to Qujiang County of Guiyang County.
In the Three Kingdoms period, Nanye County belonged to Luling county. In the sixth year of Yongan (263), Emperor Wu Jingdi divided Nanye into Shixing County and Nanxiong county. In the first year of Ganlu (265) of the late Wu Emperor, it was divided into Shixing County and Xiejie County, and Nanxiong county was subordinate to it.
In the Jin Dynasty, Xieyi was abandoned and replaced with Nanye, and it was transferred to Luling county.
In the Southern Dynasty and Song Dynasty, Qi, LINGJI County, Liang and Anyuan County were restored, all of which governed Nanxiong. Chen changed Anyuan County to Anyuan County, which was subordinate to East Hengzhou, namely Shaozhou.

In the 12th year of Jiaqing (1807) of the Qing Dynasty, the government was changed to Nanxiong Prefecture of Zhili, and then it was transferred to the Department of Guangdong political envoys. Baochang county was removed and Shixing County was led. According to the geographical records of the Qing history manuscript, in the 16th year of Jiaqing period, it was promoted to the prefecture again, and then it was reduced to Zhili Prefecture in the next year until the end of Xuantong period.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, Nanxiong Prefecture of Zhili was changed into Nanxiong County under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province.

In December 1958, Nanxiong county and Shixing County were merged into Nanxiong county.

Nanshan extends from southwest to northeast, with Qingzhang mountain as the main peak, 917 meters above sea level. In the southwest, there are peaks (840 meters above sea level), zhaidinggeng, shanjiaozhai (858 meters above sea level), etc.; in the northeast, there are mulonggeng, yazizhai (872 meters above sea level), longwangnao (616 meters above sea level), zhutouzhai (592 meters above sea level), hongtaishan (716 meters above sea level), etc.; in the south, there are wangshizhai (761 people above sea level) Wait for the mountains.
