Overview of the Development Zone

Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone started construction in June 2003 with the approval of Shandong provincial government, and was upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone in December 2010 with the approval of the State Council. At present, the planning control area is 223 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over three streets, 118 villages and a population of 260000. The development orientation is "the area of scientific and technological innovation, modern industry and trade, famous brand gathering, eco-tourism, civilization and harmony". The development zone is adjacent to Yihe River, the largest river in Shandong Province in the west, Shuhe River, the second largest river in Shandong Province in the East, the Yi River to Shuhe canal in the South and Huangshan Mountain in the north.

Economic overview

Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone was upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone in December 2010 with the approval of the State Council. In 2015, it achieved a GDP of 17.32 billion yuan, an increase of 12.2%; it achieved a local fiscal revenue of 2 billion yuan, an increase of 15%, and won the first place in the comprehensive assessment of the city's scientific development.

The development zone is located in the important junction of the Yangtze River Delta and the Bohai rim economic circle, and the middle zone between Beijing and Shanghai. Evolution of organizational system

In June 2003, the provincial government approved to start the construction of Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 122 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over Zhimadun and meijiabu towns.

In 2008, Chonggou (Chaoyang) town of Hedong District was classified as a development zone by the municipal Party committee and government, covering an area of 182 square kilometers.

In December 2010, it was upgraded to a national economic and Technological Development Zone with the approval of the State Council.

In August 2011, the former vinegar village of Linshu county was assigned to the Development Zone, with a planned control area of 223 square kilometers, three streets, 72 administrative villages and a population of 260000.

Linyi is rich in natural resources, which provides favorable conditions for sustainable development. It is a natural production base of high-quality fruits and green food. It is the main production area of high-quality economic crops. Honeysuckle, Ginkgo biloba, peanut, fruits, garlic, vegetables and meat all rank first in the province. There are many kinds of mineral resources in Linyi. 66 kinds of minerals have been found and 37 kinds have been mined. Among them, the reserves of diamond, quartz sandstone, gypsum, ceramic soil, alunite, granite and limestone rank first in Shandong Province.

With the rapid development of industrial economy, Linyi has formed an industrial system with a complete range of light industry, textile, food, machinery, electronics, chemical industry, building materials, coal, medicine, gold, ceramics and new materials, and a certain scale, technical level and market advantage. Construction machinery has a certain share in the domestic market, and plant protection machinery is mainly exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asian countries and regions. The annual production capacity of compound fertilizer is 3 million tons, which has become the production base of compound fertilizer in China.

Linyi City has four water systems of Yihe River, Shuhe River, zhongyunhe River and Binhai river. There are 90 large and medium-sized reservoirs with a capacity of 3.4 billion cubic meters. The water resource reserves account for one fourth of Shandong Province. There are abundant natural mineral water resources, including 15 deep mineral water sources and 3 geothermal hot springs.
