Dongying District Dongying District is a municipal district of Dongying City, Shandong Province, located in the northeast of Shandong Province, is the center of Dongying City, the hinterland of the Yellow River Delta. Dongying District is a new cluster city developed on the basis of oilfield and mining area. It spans 118 ° 12 ′ 42 ″ - 118 ° 59 ′ 52 ″ E and 37 ° 14 ′ 13 ″ - 37 ° 31 ′ 57 ″ n. Rich in oil and gas resources, there are many oil-bearing series and types of oil and gas reservoirs, mainly distributed in Xianhe, Dongxin, Liuhu, Niuzhuang, Wanggang, etc. As of 2010, 8 oil fields have been discovered, with a total of over 1 billion tons of proven oil reserves and about 280 million tons of crude oil produced. The annual production of brine is about 1 million cubic meters, and the current reserve is about 953.35 million cubic meters. Geothermal is the second largest energy resource after oil and gas resources, with abundant reserves. From top to bottom, there are two better thermal reservoirs in the central urban area: the upper Tertiary Guantao formation thermal reservoir and the lower Tertiary Dongying Formation thermal reservoir. The total amount of hot water storage is 14.3 billion cubic meters, and the recoverable storage is 61408 cubic meters / day. Two geothermal wells are developed and utilized. The shell resources are mainly distributed in Niuzhuang town. The proved reserves are about 200000 tons and 160000 tons for exploitation.
