Suichuan County Suichuan County, subordinate to Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest border of Jiangxi Province, southwest of Ji'an city. Suichuan County is adjacent to Wan'an County in the East, Nankang district and Shangyou County of Ganzhou City in the south, Guidong County and Yanling County of Hunan Province in the west, Jinggangshan City in the northwest and Taihe County in the north, with a total area of 3144.17 square kilometers. It governs 12 towns, 11 townships, 309 administrative villages, 30 communities and 2 state-owned forest farms. By the end of 2019, the total population of Suichuan County is 622200, including 213300 urban population.
In the first year of Baoda in the Southern Tang Dynasty (943), Longquan farm was set up in Shishan town, Longquan Township, Taihe; in the 18th year of Lijing in the Southern Tang Dynasty (960), it was promoted to a county, named Longquan County; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was renamed Suichuan. Suichuan County, located in the south of Jinggangshan City, is the core part of Jinggangshan revolutionary base and an important area of dajinggang tourism circle. The landform of Suichuan County is mainly mountainous, and from southwest to northeast, there are middle mountain, low mountain, hilly and valley plain landform in turn.
In 2019, Suichuan County will achieve a GDP of 16.45 billion yuan and a total revenue of 1.72 billion yuan.
History of construction
In the Xia and Shang Dynasties, it belonged to the south of ancient Yangzhou; in the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period, it belonged to Wu, Yue and Chu; in the Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Jiujiang county.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it was subordinate to Luling County, Yuzhang County; in 191, it was established as the southern Duwei County, which was subordinate to the History Department of Yangzhou; in 199, it was established as a county and governed by Yunzhou (now Yunzhou, Wufeng Township, Wan'an County, 15 li away from Wan'an county).
In the fourth year of the reign of Wu Jiahe (235), Sun Quan, the great emperor of Wu, was transformed into a new one.
In the first year of Taikang in Jin Dynasty (280), Xinxing was renamed SuiXing and moved to jingyunguan, shangliuguanghua Township, which is Zhongzhou on the southeast Bank of suishui in today's Yutian town. It is called "old county" by the people and belongs to Luling county.
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, Jin system was followed. Its jurisdiction includes Suichuan, Wan'an County, Taihe County and Jinggangshan City.
Sui kaihuang ten years (590) abandoned SuiXing and other six counties, set up Anfeng County, SuiXing as a part of it; kaihuang eleven years (591), changed Anfeng to Taihe County; Tang Dynasty inherited Sui system.
In the 16th year of Tianyou (919) of the Southern Wu Dynasty, Yang long took charge of Jiangnan and became the state name of "Wu"; in the 4th year of Dahe (932) of the Southern Wu Dynasty, Fu's family in the western border of the county "won't lose the tribute according to the danger". In March of spring, Li Mengjun couldn't win. In winter and October, the state of Chu guarded Chen with Peng Jue, called "Fu thief" and "Fu Duangong". Since then, the county from the east of suotouling to the west of chuntangling entered Chu (now Hunan); in the first year of Baoda in the Southern Tang Dynasty (943), longquanchang was set up in Shishan town, Longquan Township, Taihe; in the 18th year of Lijing in the Southern Tang Dynasty (960), Longquan county was promoted to be a county, named Longquan County, with the old town governance as the county governance. In the seventeen capitals of Shuinan, Ciyun Temple (now in Xiaoxi village, yaoxia township), the jurisdiction still includes Suichuan and Wan'an counties.
In 975, the Southern Tang Dynasty died, and Longquan county was under the jurisdiction of Song Dynasty; in 1071, Wanan town was established, and half of Yongxing and Heshu townships were assigned to Wan'an; in 1121, Longquan county was changed to Quanjiang County; in 1131, Quanjiang county was changed to Longquan County, belonging to Jizhou army of Jiangnan West Road.
In the yuan and Ming Dynasties, there was no great change in the county; in the first year of Yuanzhen (1295), Longquan county was subordinate to Ji'an Road, xingzhongshu Province, Jiangxi Province; in the Ming Dynasty, Longquan county was subordinate to Ji'an government, Huxi Road, Chengxuan County, Jiangxi Province.
In the early Qing Dynasty, the system of Ming Dynasty was followed; in the ninth year of Yongzheng (1731), Ji'an Prefecture was transferred to gandao, and Longquan county was still under the jurisdiction of Ji'an Prefecture; in the reign of tongzhi (1862-1875), Longquan county was 20km away from Wan'an County in the East, 60km away from Qiuping, Guidong County in the west, 80km away from east to west, 12.5km away from niufuling watershed, Nankang County in the south, 75KM away from guantuling, Yongxin County in the north, and 87.5km away from north to south .
In the winter of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the county was directly under the province; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), in order to avoid the same name as Longquan County in Zhejiang and Guizhou provinces, it was renamed Suichuan; in the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), Jiangxi Province was divided into 13 administrative regions, Suichuan County was subordinate to the 10th administrative region; in the 24th year of the people's Republic of China (1935), Jiangxi Province was reduced to 8 administrative regions, Suichuan was subordinate to the third administrative region.
On August 2, 1949, Suichuan County was liberated and successively belonged to southwest Jiangxi District, Ji'an District, Ji'an special district, Jinggangshan special district and Jinggangshan area. In July 1979, Suichuan County was subordinate to Ji'an area. In June 2000, Ji'an area was renamed Ji'an City, and Suichuan County was subordinate to Ji'an city.

Division evolution
Between October 1950 and September 1952, villages in Ciping, shishikou and Luofu of Yongxin County and Jinshi township of Nankang county were successively under the jurisdiction of Suichuan County.
In June 1953, Qiaotou District, Guidong County, Hunan Province, and its 13 townships, Qiaotou and Dadi, were successively put under the jurisdiction of Suichuan County.
In October 1957, Qiaotou and Dadi were assigned to Guidong County, Hunan Province.
In July 1959, Jinggangshan township was assigned to Jinggangshan Administration Bureau.
In August 1969, Huangao and Xiaqi communes were put under the jurisdiction of Jinggangshan Revolutionary Committee.
On February 15, 1986, Yutian township was abolished and Yutian town was established. In 1993, Dafen Township, caolin Township, Zuo'an Township, bizhou Township, duizqian Township and Gaoping Township were abolished, and Dafen Town, caolin Town, Zuo'an Town, bizhou Town, duizqian town and Gaoping town were established.
On March 10, 1995, che'ao township was set up to govern che'ao, Jiangkou, dachunping, Lianqiao and Xiaohu villages in wufengjiang Township, and the township government set up che'ao village; the system of yaoxia township was abolished, and its jurisdiction was merged into Quanjiang town.
On December 29, 2000, che'ao township was abolished, and its che'ao and Lianqiao village committees were assigned to wudoujiang Township, and Xiaohu village committee to Xinjiang township.
On December 3, 2001, penzhu Township and shangkeng Township were abolished and assigned to Quanjiang town; HENGLING township was abolished and assigned to Yutian town; Chuzhou township was abolished and assigned to Dafen town; Qiling township was abolished and assigned to daijiapu Township and the township government moved to Tuoli; Yangfen township was abolished and assigned to Zuo'an town; Heyuan Township, Yaqian Township and Tanghu Township were abolished and Heyuan Township, Yaqian Township and Tanghu Township were established.
By the end of 2004, Suichuan County had jurisdiction over 11 towns and 12 townships.
On February 6, 2017, Meijiang township was set up as a town.

Suichuan County is located in the eastern foot of the southern section of Luoxiao mountains, the southwest border of Jiangxi Province, and the southwest of Ji'an city. The overall terrain of Suichuan County is more mountains and less fields. The overall terrain is like a dustpan opening to the northeast. From the southwest to the northeast, there are middle mountains, low mountains, hills and valley plains. The wanyang mountain range and Zhuguang mountain range extend from the western edge to the northeast, and the main vein is above 1000 meters above sea level. There are five peaks more than 2000 meters on the edge of the county, of which the south wind side is 2120.4 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in Suichuan County and the first peak in Jiangxi Province; the exit of Suichuan River on the northeast border is only 82 meters above sea level, which is the lowest point in the whole county.

There are Suichuan River and Shujiang river systems in Suichuan County, both of which are primary tributaries of Ganjiang River. There is a dense network of rivers in the territory. The two largest rivers, Suichuan River and SHUSHUI River, flow into Ganjiang River to the northeast. Other major rivers are Youxi River, Zuoxi River, bizhou River, Jinshi River, Heyuan River, Dasha River, Dafen River, Youjiang River, Zuojiang River, etc.
