Tomb of Cai Lun
Cai Lun's tomb is 200 meters south of longtingpu, Yangxian County, Shaanxi Province, with an area of 5 mu and a height of 7 meters. There are three stone steles in front of the tomb, which are in the middle of the real book "Tomb of Cai Lun, Marquis of Longting of Han Dynasty". Cai Lun's tomb and ancestral temple are the key cultural relics under national protection.
Profile
Cai Lun, whose name is Jingzhong, was born in Guiyang County of the Eastern Han Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Ming, he was in charge of making imperial utensils.
In the 105th year of the reign of emperor Liu Zhaoyuan of the Han Dynasty, he successfully improved the method of papermaking. He used bark, hemp head, rags and broken fishing nets as raw materials to make high-quality and inexpensive paper, which was approved by the imperial court for promotion.
Since then, the world has used his method of paper, known as "Caihou paper.". In the first year of the Yuan Dynasty (114) of Liu Hu, Emperor Han'an, Empress Dowager Deng served in the court with Cai Lun. She was granted the title of "Marquis of Dragon Pavilion" for a long time, and her fiefdom is now longtingpu in Yangxian county. Cai Lun was the inventor of papermaking in China, and he paid great attention to protecting his tomb to show his respect.
Introduction to the tomb Temple
The ancestral hall covers an area of more than 30 mu. There are Xieshan style buildings of Qing Dynasty, such as Baidian, Xiandian, Caihou temple, dongxipeidian, lelou, and many ancient cypresses and Han GUIs in the ancestral hall. There are wengzhong, such as Shiren, Shiyang, Shima, etc. in the ancestral hall area. There are many stone tablets of Ming and Qing Dynasties with single eaves and square sacrificial pavilions on Xieshan peak. The tall tombs are funnel-shaped. Behind the scenes is the moon pool. Cailun tomb temple is a tourist attraction integrating ancient tombs, garden relics and stone carvings.
Cailun tomb towering, spectacular. In front of the tomb, the stone tablet, Shiyang and Weng Zhong are lined up, and the "Cailun pedigree tablet" records the history of the Cailun family. In front of the tomb are the memorial Pavilion of Zhao Puchu's handwritten "Tomb of Cai Lun" and the plaque of Yu Youren's handwritten "Tomb of Cai Lun". Behind Cai Lun's tomb is the "bright moon pool", on which there used to be a pavilion, which was Cai Lun's bedroom.
The whole Cailun cemetery is divided into North and south parts. The tomb area is located in the north. In the south is the temple of marquis CAI. From south to north, the central axis of the temple is Shanmen, Baidian and Xiandian in turn. On the main hall gate, there is a plaque of emperor Dezong's imperial script "Temple of marquis Cai". There is a statue of Cai Lun in the hall. On the right side of the wall is the production process of "Cai Lun paper", and on the left side is the mural of Xie en, who was granted the title of Marquis of the Dragon Pavilion in 114 ad. On May 25, 2006, Cai Lun's tomb and ancestral temple, as ancient tombs of the Qing Dynasty, were approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units
