Reasons for naming

Miaojiling, the highest peak in the scenic area, is 5364 meters above sea level. It is the first peak in Chengdu, standing in the sky and covered with snow all the year round. In the sunlight, white crystal, silver brilliant, beautiful and spectacular. Du Fu, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, praised this scene and wrote a quatrains of "the window contains the snow of the West Mountains, and the door holds the boat of the east Wu". Xiling Snow Mountain also got its name.

According to the records of Dayi County annals by Guangxu of Qing Dynasty (1875), the snow mountain is commonly known as DaXueTang. After the middle mountain in the northwest of the county, the snow is as silver in winter, and the surrounding area can be hundreds of miles. There are thousands of walls on three sides. The only island road can be extended to the top of the mountain. There is a clear water pool (Jiulong pool) in the middle of the mountain Daxianfeng, erxianfeng, Nantianmen, chengmendong, yuanyangchi, hongzhuchi and other scenic spots are all scenic mountains. Here, DaXueTang is the highest peak in the scenic area, also known as the first peak in Chengdu, with an altitude of 5364 meters, so far no one has conquered it.

Yin Yang boundary

These two kinds of different air currents meet on baishagang, forming a strange weather: on one side, the sky is clear, the blue sky is clear; on the other side, the world is hazy. "Yin and Yang" are well-defined and changeable, which is rare in the world. As the saying goes: looking at the white sand, the sky is uneven, and the boundaries of yin and yang are clear. Du Fu Ting

Guanyuntai

Riyueping

Overlooking the main peak of Xiling

The highest point of the scenic spot is hongshijian, which is the nearest place to miaojiling, the main peak of Xiling Snow Mountain. At an altitude of 3312 meters, it is a natural viewing platform. The longest ropeway in China
