Zhaiying ancient town is located in the southwest of Songtao Miao Autonomous County, 65 kilometers away from the county seat. The three-level oil road of Songtao river runs through the whole area. It is the first place for Sichuan and Chu people to enter Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou Chaoliang for religious pilgrimage in Chinese history. It is also the largest ancient architectural complex in Fanjing Mountain area with relatively complete preservation in Guizhou Province so far. Songtaozhaiying ancient town, built in Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, is the largest and most complete ancient architectural complex at the foot of Fanjing Mountain. With carved beams and painted buildings, cornices and angles, it is a combination of Miao architecture and Hui architecture. In 2006, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit. Zhaiying town is located in the southwest of Songtao Miao Autonomous County, in the south of Fanjing Mountain, a National Nature Reserve, 58 kilometers away from the county, 78 kilometers away from Tongren City, and 107 kilometers away from Daxing airport. It is adjacent to pujue town in the East, Wuluo town in the west, Mengxi town in the north and nuxi Township and Taiping Township in Jiangkou County in the south. The total land area of the town is 200.75 square kilometers, with 17542.7 mu of arable land, including 12142.478 mu of farmland. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East.
