In contrast to Manjusri's wisdom and demonstration of virtue, Puxian Bodhisattva represents "Virtue" and "action". It is said that he has the virtue of prolonging his life. It is said that he has made ten vows to promote Buddhism, so his honorary name is "Da Xing Pu Xian".
