Moon Tianchi
Moon Tianchi, also known as kierguo mountain Tianchi, is located in the eastern part of kierguo in the Great Xing'an Mountains of Chaihe Town, Zhalantun City, Hulunbuir City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is surrounded by mountains, high in the southeast and low in the northwest, with a water surface diameter of 220 meters and a water depth of 6-7 meters,
Covering an area of 31000 square meters, the peak is 1278 meters above sea level, and the water surface is 1185 meters above sea level. It is a closed Alpine volcanic lake Tianchi, with a formation time of 1.6-1 million years. It is named moon Tianchi because it is shaped like a full moon and located in the volcanic cone at high altitude.

The top of the mountain is 1278 meters above sea level, and the water surface is 1185 meters above sea level. It is a closed Alpine volcanic lake Tianchi, which was formed 1.6-1 million years ago. It is named moon Tianchi because it is shaped like a full moon and located in the volcanic cone at high altitude. Yueliangtianchi volcano is a late Pleistocene volcano, with steep edge and gentle middle, which is very suitable for the preservation of sediments. The shape of the moon Tianchi is extremely round and beautiful. There is no exit or entrance. The water level remains unchanged on sunny or rainy days. The ingenuity of nature is vividly reflected here.

According to the scientific research conducted by experts from Institute of Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Geosciences, Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang geological departments, the Chaihe area of Daxinganling in Zhalantun, Inner Mongolia is the largest volcanic Tianchi group in China. Chaihe area is famous for its unique volcanic landform and well protected primeval forest vegetation. In recent years, the geological department has successively discovered 15 volcanic eruptive vents, 7 Alpine Tianchi with an altitude of more than 1000 meters and a 13 km long volcanic fault zone, which constitute a unique landscape. The volcanic landform of Chaihe is one of the Quaternary volcanic active areas in eastern China. The volcanic landform formed after strong geological tectonic movement has well preserved Danxia landform and large-scale rocks The valley and Tianchi Lake form a natural landscape of mountains, water, forests and rocks, which has high scientific research value and tourism value. It can be called a natural volcano museum.
