In memory of the most outstanding master of Shiwan in the 20th century, Shiwan fine arts and ceramics factory spent more than 2 million yuan to build the Liu Chuan Memorial Hall. The building area of Liu Chuan memorial hall is 350 square meters. With its solemn and elegant exterior wall, unique patio, antique exhibition hall and exquisite, fresh and beautiful imitation brick carvings, it integrates modern furnishings with the characteristics of Shiwan traditional dwellings, and has a strong Lingnan style. Liu Chuan is a milestone in the history of Shiwan Ceramics and the pride of Foshan people. The establishment of Liu Chuan Memorial Hall will further promote the development and prosperity of academic research and artistic creation of Shiwan ceramic art, and make positive contributions to accelerate the construction of Foshan as a famous historical and cultural city. The exhibition is divided into six parts. The first part shows the development of Shiwan Ceramics from the late stone age to the present; the second, third and fourth parts introduce the three stages of Master Liu Chuan's artistic career; the fifth part summarizes the theoretical essence of Master Liu Chuan; the sixth part introduces the social activities of Master Liu Chuan. There are 118 pictures and 134 pieces (sets) of objects on display in the museum, including clay figurines, pictures of exchanging creative experience with Liu Chuan, pictures of General Secretary Jiang Zemin watching Shiwan dolls, pottery pieces 5000 years ago, utensils of Han, Tang, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Liu Chuan's studio and other precious materials, which have strong ornamental and academic value.
