History and culture
Xiaodock street, also known as Xijin gudu street, was an important ferry from southern Jiangsu to northern Jiangsu during the Six Dynasties. Since the Yuan Dynasty, Xijin ferry has become the lifeline of communication between the north and the south. Materials from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and sea have been transported to Dadu of the Yuan Dynasty, and there is an endless stream of tourists, merchants and merchants. However, because the Yangtze River has become narrow and the current is fast, and Jinshan still stands in the center of the river at that time, when the upper stream rises, the mountains and rivers fight against each other and swirl into vortices, so the ferry often drowns. Because of this, the local government built the stone pagoda here.
