Shenfu Fangshan, located 25 kilometers east of Shouyang County, Shanxi Province, is the place where Shouyang and Yu were handed over. Fangshan National Forest Park in Shouyang, Shanxi Province, is named because it is square on all sides and its main peak looks like a bat. In the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, there was a duanjie unearthed in Fangshan with the word "shenbat" written on it, which is a relic of the Jin Dynasty. History and culture
Fangshan was named Fuxiu Shenshan in Jin Dynasty, so it was called shenfushan. In the second year of Zhenghe of Song Dynasty (1112), it was named Fangshan because of its square shape. According to qingliangzhi, there are four mountains outside Wutai Mountain, which is also called "Zhu Ming". There are 28000 square meters of flat land; in Fangshan, the pine forest is vast, mixed with all kinds of fruit trees, and the forest coverage rate reaches 83%.
The temple in Fangshan was established by Li tongxuan, a branch of the Li family in the Tang Dynasty, and then followed by Fahong, Zongzheng, Nayun and other Zen masters. It flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The asphalt road into the mountain and 6670 square meters of parking lot have been completed. The stone path leading to the scenic spot, the 459 stone steps straight up to the peak, the jade belt bridge on the stream, and the Panlong lamp at the end of the bridge are all elegant. The newly built guest reception Pavilion, Jinding Pavilion, Guantao Pavilion and other six pavilions with their own characteristics.
Fangshan National Forest Park was established in 1992 with the approval of linzaozi (1992) No. 200 document of the former Ministry of forestry.
In 1992, the stone archway of the park was built, carved with green sandstone. On the front of the gate is the name of Fangshan National Forest Park inscribed by Hu Fuguo, former Secretary of Shanxi provincial Party committee. On the back is the four characters "bat shows holy mountain" inscribed by Mr. Zhao WANGJIN, chairman of Shanxi Calligrapher Association. On both sides of the stone carvings are "two dragons playing with pearls", "two phoenixes rising in the sun" and other patterns.
In 2002, Fangshan development was launched to the market, and Hengyuan company, led by Jia yuanyao, won the bid at one stroke, with a capital injection of 5 million yuan and an investment of 8 million yuan. The first phase of the project was fully launched.
On September 16, 2007, Fangshan National Forest Park held a grand ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of Fangshan temple and Zhaohua courtyard, as well as a ceremony for the promotion of the abbot to the throne of Jin courtyard and a ceremony for the opening of Buddhist statues.
In 2008, according to the Interim Measures for the use of special signs for national forest parks in China, the State Forestry Administration approved to authorize 108 National Forest Parks such as Fangshan National Forest Park to use special signs for national forest parks in China.

Park Square - 4 km away from the park archway, covering an area of about 10000 square meters. Qingfeng on both sides of the confrontation, the foot of the spring flow, surrounded by hotels, parks, office buildings, living areas, can be used for leisure, entertainment, parking and other purposes.
Jiulong column, 5 meters high and 40 meters long, is composed of nine blue stone Jiulong columns, which are connected in an arc shape. There are stone bars on the top and water tanks on the bottom. The dragons are circling, spraying beads and splashing jade. It is magnificent and exquisite.
Huayan lake is located at the north end of the square, covering an area of about 4000 square meters. It is surrounded by mountains, flowers and weeds, reflecting the green peaks of the pool, with fish flying at the bottom and bees and butterflies lingering. Located on the southeast cliff of the square, the cliff stone carving is written by Li Guanglin, a calligrapher of Yiren.

Fangshan Central District
Zhaohua courtyard (lower Temple) - it is composed of Mountain Gate, bell and Drum Tower, Yuantong hall, Daxiong hall, east west side hall, stele Gallery, monastery, etc., covering an area of 4000 square meters. It was originally built in the Ming Dynasty and now imitates the style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. 10 million yuan will be invested in the restoration. There is a pair of stone lions in Song Dynasty (Northern Wei Dynasty) outside the gate. They are simple in shape, refined in composition and unique in shape. Yuantong hall is for three great scholars (Manjusri on the left, Guanyin on the middle, and Puxian Bodhisattva on the right).
The main hall is built of wood and stone, with five couplets, double eaves, Xieshan and glazed tile roofs. It is Ming and Qing Dynasty style. From afar, it is resplendent and solemn. On both sides are the golden bell hall, the bell tower and the drum tower, and the East-West hall.
Mahatma Hall - dedicated to Manjusri Bodhisattva, 180 King Kong Arhats on both sides. It is the central building of the lower temple. Green brick and golden tile, stone foundation and grey wall, carved dragon painting column, exquisite shape. Inside, there are three treasures Buddha and eighteen Arhats.
Stele gallery is located from the gate of Xiasi mountain to Dongfang. It is about 50 meters long, and focuses on more than 70 stone tablets of Fangshan from the Tang Dynasty to the present. Confrontation with the monastery.
There are two pairs of stone lions carved in the Tang Dynasty at the mountain gate. They are simple in shape, refined in composition and unique in shape. From the temple ditch to 180 steps in the temple, it is made of white sandstone.
Fangshan Temple (upper Temple) - a Tang Dynasty style building, consists of Tianwang hall, bell and Drum Tower, Pilu hall, sutra Pavilion, tangmi hall, east-west hall and east-west corridor, covering an area of more than 5000 square meters, including the monastery, covering a total area of 6500 square meters. Water and land hall is located in the upper temple. It used to be the storage place of water and land painting axes in Tang and Song dynasties. Now it collects a number of calligraphy and paintings of celebrities of past dynasties. On both sides of the hall, it goes up along the stone steps corridor. You can see the corridor of iron line serial pictures describing the works of elder Li.
Stone terrace and archway of Shangsi Temple: from bottom to top, there are 299 steps, all of which are made of white sandstone. The name of "Fangshan Temple" on the archway was inscribed by Yicheng, the president of contemporary Chinese Buddhist Association.
Heilongquan is located 100 meters east of Xiasi. The spring is dark and blue. In the old days, people prayed for rain in Shouyang and Yuxian.
