Zhengzhou Institute of aeronautical industry management is a full-time regular undergraduate college. Its predecessor was Pingyuan finance and economics school established in 1949. After several times of renaming and relocation, it was renamed Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industry in 1964 when 16 aeronautical schools were merged. In 1978, it was upgraded to Zhengzhou aviation industry management college, and in 1984, it was upgraded to Zhengzhou aviation industry Management College (undergraduate). In 1989, it was granted the right of bachelor's degree. In 1999, the subordinate relationship of the University changed from the director of China Aviation Industry Corporation to the school running system jointly built by the central and local governments, with the daily management of Henan Province as the main. In 2009, it successfully passed the project approval and construction evaluation of the master's degree unit. In 2013, the 30th meeting of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council approved that our university was newly added as a master's degree awarding unit, and the school running level reached a new level.

In the course of more than 60 years, adhering to the motto of "rigorous, realistic, pioneering and enterprising", the university has continuously explored the talent training mode to meet the needs of Henan's economic and aviation industry development, formed the talent training characteristics of "management discipline is the main subject, and management is closely combined with engineering", and established a strong advantage in the field of aviation industry management and technology application research. The school has three campuses in the East, South and North, covering an area of more than 1900 mu, with a construction area of more than 970000 square meters and a total asset value of more than 1 billion yuan. There are 35 teaching and scientific research experimental centers including management engineering experimental center, accounting experimental center and information technology experimental center. Among them, ceramic material interface laboratory, aviation logistics laboratory and high permeable pavement material laboratory are listed as Engineering Laboratory of Henan Province. Aviation materials and engineering technology laboratory is listed as key laboratory cultivation base of colleges and universities in Henan Province Air manufacturing and equipment research center and high performance civil engineering materials and environmental engineering technology research center are listed as the engineering research center of colleges and universities in Henan Province, and management engineering experimental center and accounting experimental center are listed as the experimental teaching demonstration center of colleges and universities in Henan Province. The laboratory covers an area of 66000 square meters. At present, the library has a collection of more than 1.96 million books, more than 1200 Chinese and foreign periodicals, and nearly 21 professional databases. The school has built a modern campus network system of "core layer 10 Gigabit backbone, convergence layer Gigabit backbone, 100 Gigabit switching desktop", with about 28000 information points all over the teaching, scientific research and living places. In the past five years, it has undertaken nearly 63 national defense research projects and more than 760 provincial and ministerial level projects.
