Wuxi Institute of Technology

Wuxi Vocational and technical college is a state-owned full-time Provincial Vocational College. Founded in 1959, affiliated to the Education Department of Jiangsu Province, the school is one of the first batch of Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu Province and one of the first batch of National Model Higher Vocational Colleges in China (only two in Jiangsu). It was selected as the construction unit of high-level Higher Vocational Colleges in Jiangsu Province in 2017, and ranked sixth in the competitiveness list of China's Higher Vocational Colleges for three consecutive years in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

At present, Wuxi Vocational and technical college has 15 teaching units, including mechanical technology college, control technology college, Internet of things Technology College, automobile and Transportation College, finance and Economics College, with more than 13000 full-time college students and more than 800 teaching staff.

The school is committed to building a high-level "double teacher" structure professional teaching team with more than 40 full-time teachers and nearly 100 doctors. Among them, there are 1 national famous teaching teacher, 4 provincial famous teaching teachers, 1 expert enjoying special subsidy from the State Council Government, 3 national teaching teams, 5 provincial "Blue Project" scientific and technological innovation teams. Academician Yang Shuzi, academician Yao Jianquan and other high-level experts and scholars, and Gu Qiuliang, Huang Cheng and other big country craftsmen and skilled masters are employed as part-time professors. More than 30 foreign teachers teach in school all the year round.

With advanced teaching facilities, the school has built a "multi-functional, open and sharing" practice teaching base. At present, there are 4 basic experimental centers, 8 professional training centers, 2 national training bases and 5 provincial training bases. There are also "national vocational skill appraisal institute" and "Jiangsu machinery vocational and technical education center", and 63 types of vocational skill training appraisal. The school has built an intelligent manufacturing engineering center and led the establishment of the national machinery vocational intelligent manufacturing vocational education group, which has established more than 200 practice bases outside the school.
