Guangxi International Business College

Guangxi International Business Vocational and technical college is a national public full-time college for the purpose of cultivating international applied talents to meet the needs of modern business development, and it is the cradle of cultivating Guangxi business industry managers. The college is subordinate to the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Its predecessor is Guangxi Foreign Economic and trade school, which was founded in 1965. In 2002, it was upgraded to higher vocational college and renamed as Guangxi International Business Vocational and technical college.

1、 The evolution of the College

The college was founded in 1965, formerly known as Guangxi Foreign Trade part-time school. In 1978, it was named Guangxi foreign trade school, located at No. 30, Mingxiu West Road, Nanning city. In 1984, it was renamed Guangxi School of foreign economic relations and trade, and in 1994, it was moved to No. 168, Daxue East Road, Nanning city. In 2002, the college was upgraded to higher vocational college and renamed as Guangxi International Business Vocational and technical college.

3、 The current situation of the College

School scale: as of April 2016, there were 13879 students, including 9061 full-time vocational students and 4818 adult education students.

School conditions: the college covers a total area of 930 mu; the library has a collection of 755500 books, and the capacity of e-books is 18800 g; there are 1394 teaching computers, 4587 seats in multimedia classrooms and language laboratories; there are 3 training bases supported by the central finance, 10 demonstration training bases in the autonomous region, and 121 off campus training bases.

Faculty structure: there are 604 faculty members, including 29 with senior professional title, 86 with deputy senior professional title, 1 national excellent teacher, 3 excellent teachers in the autonomous region, 2 famous teaching teachers at the autonomous region level, 1 candidate for the second level of "new century talent project" in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, 1 post doctoral candidate, 3 doctoral candidates, 5 doctoral candidates and 181 master candidates. Since 2006, there have been 27 batches of 91 visits and 286 visits; 128 exchange and learning teachers have been sent abroad and 965 students have been sent to study in the UK, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines.
