Henan College of Finance and taxation is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. Its predecessor is Henan accounting school, which was founded in 1963. With the approval of Henan Provincial People's government, Henan College of Finance and taxation was established in June 1985 and renamed Henan College of Finance and taxation in 1992. The university is subordinate to the Provincial Department of finance, and is under the leadership of the Provincial Department of education. It is an ordinary college of Finance and economics that was established earlier in our province.

At present, the school has 13 teaching units, including the Department of Finance and taxation, the Department of accounting, the Department of foreign economic relations and trade, the Department of finance, the Department of business administration, the Department of information engineering, the Department of engineering economics, the Department of law, the Department of cultural communication, the Department of foreign languages, the Ministry of Social Sciences, the Ministry of sports and the College of continuing education, and 35 majors (including professional directions) in finance, taxation and accounting.

The school has 550 teaching staff, including 430 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 19 professors, 116 associate professors, 15 doctors and 223 masters. At present, there are 1 expert enjoying the special allowance of the State Council, 2 excellent experts in Henan Province, 1 famous teacher in Henan Province and 17 academic and technological leaders in Henan Province. In the past three years, eight teachers have been awarded the honorary titles of excellent teachers in Henan Province, civilized teachers in Henan Province, teaching pacesetters in Henan Province and advanced individual teachers' Ethics in Henan Province.

The school enrolls students from 16 provinces including Henan, Jiangsu and Jilin, and has 7426 full-time general college students. The University actively introduces high-quality educational resources and has carried out Sino foreign cooperation in running schools with Victoria University of Australia and St. Petersburg National University of culture and arts of Russia.

The school now covers an area of 954 mu, with a total building area of 253600 square meters and a teaching and scientific research administrative room area of 170000 square meters. The new campus covers an area of 834 Mu and can accommodate more than 12000 students. The school has complete teaching infrastructure, 36 on campus experimental and training rooms, 75 off campus practice and training bases, teaching and scientific research equipment worth more than 44 million yuan, and more than 800000 books.

Among them, accounting major is identified as famous brand major in Henan Province, finance major is identified as characteristic major in Henan Province, and accounting, accounting and auditing, and legal affairs major are identified as pilot major of teaching reform in Henan Province. "Basic accounting", "Visual FoxPro program design", "finance", "financial management" and "finance and taxation law" have been identified as provincial excellent courses.

The university has made fruitful achievements in scientific research. Since 2005, teachers have published 816 papers, including 355 core journals; published 158 books and teaching materials, including 80 provincial and ministerial planning teaching materials; undertaken 2 national scientific research projects, 89 provincial and ministerial scientific research projects, 342 department level scientific research projects; won 112 department level and above scientific research achievement awards, including 5 provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement awards; and passed 6 provincial education reform projects, Among them, it won two second prizes of provincial teaching achievements.
