Shanxi art vocational college

Shanxi art vocational college is approved by the people's Government of Shanxi Province on September 21, 2000. It is composed of the former Shanxi culture and art school, Shanxi film school and Shanxi staff college, the only adult art college in Shanxi Province. Its predecessor is Shanxi culture and art school, which was founded in 1951 (it was upgraded to Shanxi art college in the 1950s). It is the first art vocational college approved to be established after China began to focus on the development of higher vocational education. The college is divided into three-year junior college (high school, technical secondary school, starting point of vocational high school), five-year consistent Higher Vocational College (starting point of junior high school), five-year technical secondary school (small dance and music class starting point of primary school), adult junior college (full-time and correspondence education) and college to undergraduate (Correspondence Education). In 2003 and 2004, the college and Taiyuan Normal University jointly recruited two undergraduate students, and this year will continue to cooperate in recruiting undergraduate students. The college mainly enrolls students from the province and from the surrounding provinces, with more than 2600 students.

Shanxi art vocational college is located in the center of Taiyuan, a famous historical and cultural city. Its main campus is located at No.4 Bingzhou East Street. Binhe campus is located in Binhe District of Taiyuan City, with beautiful environment and convenient transportation. With a construction area of nearly 60000 square meters, the college has more than 20 majors in five departments: Music Department, fine arts department, dance department, film and television performance department and TV art department.

The college has a strong, reasonable age structure, a complete range of professional, dedicated teaching staff. There are 236 teaching staff, including 158 full-time teachers, 3 full-time professors, 43 associate professors and senior lecturers, and 78 lecturers. Our institute is very active in foreign exchange and cooperation. We have employed more than 30 domestic well-known experts including Yu Qiuyu and Zhang Jigang to serve as visiting professors of our institute. Shanxi song and dance theater and Shanxi drama academy are our practice bases.

Since its founding 54 years ago, our college has trained nearly 10000 qualified talents for the literary front and art education field of the whole province and even the whole country, and many famous painters have emerged; outstanding dance, vocal music, instrumental music, film and television performers; well-known screenwriters, directors, program hosts; and a large number of outstanding leaders and management talents of literary and art departments. Shanxi Taiyuan correspondence Station of China Conservatory of music moved to our college in 2002 and began to work.

Our college is the first choice for the provincial song and dance theater, provincial dialect theater, Shanxi film studio, provincial (city) TV station, provincial painting academy, and provincial music and Dance Research Institute. In 2004, the college completed a large-scale original dance drama "a handful of sour jujubes" and made its debut in Poly Theater, the highest Hall of Chinese stage performing arts, with great success. This dance drama was elaborately created by Zhang Jigang (Shanxi native), head of the General Administration song and dance troupe, for three years. The students in our college use beautiful and soul stirring body language to deduce a love story of Shanxi merchants who have been "connecting the world" for 500 years. Zhang Jigang's masterpiece in return for his hometown has created "five ones" in the history of Chinese dance drama. First of all, it is a dance drama created by the sincere cooperation of the country's top art masters. Zhang Jigang, a famous contemporary Chinese director and the only "star of the age" in Chinese Dance circles, has won more than 30 awards at home and abroad. Fang Ming, the composer, has just won two music design awards of the 11th Wenhua award. Long Hua, the designer of dance beauty, won the French presidential prize, Wang Guorui, the lighting engineer, Song Li, the fashion designer, Qiu Hui and Tian Fang, whose names are closely related to the brilliance of art. Then, this is the first dance drama to show the love life of Shanxi merchants. The first dance drama is independently undertaken by the college and produced and performed by teachers and students. The first dance drama has the largest realistic dance scene and the most beautiful scenery The first dance drama that not only pursues fine art but also pays attention to market value.
