Qilu Medical College

Qilu medical college was formerly a private Shandong Wanjie Medical College invested by Wanjie group in 1995. In 1999, it was officially approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China as a private ordinary college with academic qualification - Private Shandong Wanjie medical college. In April 2008, Shandong Wanjie medical college was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of education. In December 2008, with the permission of China Securities Regulatory Commission, Shandong Commercial Group Co., Ltd. (Lushang group) reorganized Shandong Wanjie Hi Tech Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Wanjie group, and Shandong Wanjie medical college was officially taken over by Lushang group. The sponsor of the college was changed to Lushang group, and the school was changed from a private enterprise to a state-owned enterprise. In June 2012, the University was appraised by the academic degree committee of Shandong Provincial People's government, and has become a bachelor degree awarding unit. Now it can award bachelor's degrees in medicine, science, engineering, economics and management. In April 2015, the school changed its name to Qilu medical college.

At present, the university has 31 undergraduate and specialized specialties, including clinical medicine, medical imaging and nursing, including 20 undergraduate specialties, more than 13000 full-time undergraduate and specialized students, nearly 900 teaching staff, 970 million yuan of fixed assets, 100.86 million yuan of teaching instruments and equipment, and more than 1.1 million books. There are more than 120 teaching practice hospitals, including 1 directly affiliated hospital, 6 non directly affiliated hospitals and 6 undergraduate clinical teaching hospitals.

Since its establishment, the university has adhered to the connotation development, and built two provincial demonstration construction majors, two provincial advantageous specialty, three provincial specialty, two provincial teaching teams, one provincial key laboratory, one national excellent course, one national excellent resource sharing course and 14 provincial excellent courses. In 2013, pharmacy was identified by the Ministry of education as the first batch of undergraduate comprehensive reform pilot majors in local universities of "undergraduate teaching engineering". In 2014, it became the construction unit of private undergraduate characteristic famous school in Shandong Province.

The school adheres to the school motto of "be reasonable, be able to keep improving", adheres to the school running tenet of "providing excellent education and serving the people", bases itself on Shandong, faces the whole country, and cultivates medical professionals for modern economic and social development and medical and health undertakings.
