Huaibei Huaibei, formerly known as Xiangcheng, is a prefecture level city in Anhui Province and an important national energy city. It is located in the northeast of Anhui Province, adjacent to Xiao County of Suzhou City in the north, Mengcheng County and Woyang County of Bozhou City in the south, Yongqiao District of Suzhou City in the East and Yongcheng city of Shangqiu City in Henan Province in the West. It is 150 kilometers long from north to South and 50 kilometers wide from east to west. By 2018, the city has three districts and one county, with a total area of 2741 square kilometers, a permanent resident population of 2.254 million and an urban population of 1.4674 million, with an urbanization rate of 65.1%.
Huaibei is a member city of "Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration", "Huaihai Economic Zone", "Xuzhou Metropolitan Area", "suhuaibeng metropolitan area" and "Suhuai Urban Agglomeration". It is also a national advanced health city, National Garden City, national advanced science and Technology City, national barrier free construction city, smart city, national advanced entrepreneurship city and national civilized city.
More than 4000 years ago, the civil engineering city of the eleventh ancestor of Shang Tang Dynasty was built at the southern foot of Xiangshan Mountain, the origin of civilization. Historical evolution
He became the grandson of Qi, the leader of Shang tribe, because he helped Yu to control the flood. In order to further expand eastward, Xiangtu, the 11th ancestor of Shang Tang Dynasty, moved here from Shangqiu. Shang Tang conquered Jie, destroyed Xia, built Shang, and made Shang along Xia.
After King Wu of Zhou conquered Zhou, he was enfeoffed as a vassal, and took the place of Yin with the elder brother of King Zhou. From 588 BC to 576 BC, in order to avoid floods, song Gonggong moved the capital from Suiyang (now Shangqiu City in Henan Province) to Xiang (now southwest of Xiaoxian county and northwest of Huaibei City in Anhui Province). During the Warring States period, Qi, Chu and Wei destroyed the Song Dynasty and returned to Chu.
In the 26th year of the reign of the king of Qin (221 B.C.), China was unified, with Xiang county (now southwest of Xiao County in Anhui Province and northwest of Huaibei City), Zi County, Qi county and Fuli County, belonging to Sishui county.
At the beginning of the Western Han Dynasty, Sishui county was changed into Pei County, and the county was governed by Xiang county. Six years ago (117 years ago), Wu Yuan county (in the west of Shitai Town, Wutong Village Gate West) is a Pei county. In the first year of Dijie (69 BC), Wu County was changed to Pengcheng County, and later to Chu state. After Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty, he changed the names of prefectures and counties in the world to Wufu Pavilion, Pei county to Wufu County, and Wu county to Wuzhi county. In the 44th year of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Pei county was changed to Pei state, and the capital of the state was in the prime minister. Wu County was changed to Chu state and Pengcheng county.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Wei moved to Peixian county (now Peixian County, Jiangsu Province), which belonged to Xiang County, Zhi county, Zhuyi County, Qi county and Fuli County of Qiao County in Yuzhou. Wuxian county still belongs to Pengcheng Prefecture. In the second year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (281), Pei state was restored and the capital Xiang county was established. When the royal family of the Eastern Jin Dynasty went to the south, Wu County successively belonged to Pengcheng County of the later Zhao Dynasty, the former Yan Dynasty and the former Qin Dynasty. In 384, Wu County was not restored. In the northern and Southern Dynasties, Xiang county belonged to the Song Dynasty, the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty. In the sixth year of Liang Dynasty (525), Linhuan county was set up in the old city of Zixian County in Han and Jin Dynasties. It belongs to Suizhou and is located in Huanbei county (now 70 Li southwest of Suixi County in Anhui Province). In the first year of Liang Datong in the Southern Dynasty (527), Liang defeated Wei and conquered Zhuyi city. General Chen Qingzhi of Liang led thousands of soldiers from Zixian county to pursue Wei troops to Luoyang. In June, 529, the second year of Yong'an in the Northern Wei Dynasty, thousands of soldiers attacked Linhuan county at night. The Liang army in the city was unprepared, killed and wounded heavily, and fled in a hurry. This place was again under the jurisdiction of the Northern Wei Dynasty. In 547, Linhuan county was divided into Baishan county (now Baishan South) and Huanbei county (now liuziji South qingucheng Village). In the first year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550), Linhuan county was abolished and Linhuan county was newly established. In 556, Xiangcheng township was abandoned.
In 583, Zhuyi county was abolished and merged into Fuli county. In 589, Fuli County belonged to Pengcheng county. In the spring of the first year of Daye (605), Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty recruited more than one million people from the counties of Henan and Huaibei to dig Tongji canal. The canal passes through Tiefo, Baishan and Sipu, with a length of 42.8 kilometers and a width of 40 meters. Willows are widely planted on the dike. Baishan county was abandoned in the year and merged into Linhuan county. It belongs to Xiao County, Fuli County, Qi county and Linhuan county.
In the early Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Xiao County, Fuli County, Qi county of Xuzhou and Linhuan County of Bozhou. In 621, Fuli county was established in Zhuyang county. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), Zhuyang county was abolished and Fuli county was restored. In 809, Fuli County of Xuzhou, Qi county and Hong County of Sizhou were established as Suzhou; in 814, Linhuan County of Bozhou belonged to Suzhou. It is Xiaoxian County of Xuzhou, Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county of Suzhou. Xiangdi gradually declined and became xiangchengzi, a remote and leisurely place. In April of the 10th year of Xiantong (869), Pang Xun led the Guilin garrison uprising army to fight with the Tang army 70000 in Liuzi town. The rebel army was defeated and moved to Linhuan and Bozhou, where Pang Xun died.
In the Five Dynasties, the membership was similar to that of the Tang Dynasty.
In 972, in order to strengthen the military position of Suzhou, the Baojing army was set up. Suzhou belonged to Huainan road. In 1032, a brick tower was built in the Tianwang courtyard of Liuzi town. It was 80 feet high. It was built by Linhuan county magistrate, county captain and chief bookkeeper. Liuzi town inspection, salt and wine tax and others majored in it. At that time, there were 99 temples in Liuzi town. Xining five years (1072), Suzhou is Huainan East Road. Yuanfeng five years (1082), belong to Huainan East Road Suzhou Fuli County, Linhuan County, Qi County, Jingdong West Road Xuzhou Xiaoxian. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the north of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River was reduced to golden land, which belonged to Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county of Nanjing Road and Suzhou defense, and Xiaoxian County of Wuning army of Xuzhou on Shandong West Road. In August 1140, song General Yang Cunzhong led 500 soldiers to attack Liuzi town at night. He was ambushed and defeated by Jin soldiers and retreated to the area of Surabaya. The Jin people occupied Suzhou. In the first year of Jin Tianxing (1232), 3000 yuan soldiers stormed Linhuan City, and county magistrate Zhang Ruoyu led the whole city to defend. Later, Zhang Ruoyu committed suicide because of the exhaustion of food in the city and the destruction of the city without reinforcements. Linhuan city was ransacked by Yuan soldiers.
In the early Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Xiaoxian County of Xuzhou, the guide Prefecture of Henan Province, Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county of Suzhou. In 1265, Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county were abolished and merged into Suzhou, which was under the jurisdiction of Xiao county and Suzhou.
In the fourth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1371), it belonged to Suzhou of Linhao Prefecture and Xiaoxian of Xuzhou of Linhao Prefecture. In 1374, Linhao mansion was renamed Fengyang mansion. Hongwu 14 years (1381) changed Xuzhou Zhili capital. It belongs to Suzhou of Fengyang Prefecture and Xiaoxian of Xuzhou of Zhili.
In 1645, the second year of Shunzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty, it set up the administrative department of Jiangnan Province, which belonged to Xiaoxian of Xuzhou and Suzhou of Fengyang Prefecture. In 1661, Jiangnan Province set up left and right ministers respectively, belonging to Suzhou of Fengyang Prefecture and Xiaoxian of Xuzhou. In 1667, Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province were established. In 1733, Xuzhou was promoted to Xuzhou Prefecture, which belongs to Xiaoxian of Xuzhou Prefecture in Jiangsu Province and Suzhou of Fengyang Prefecture in Anhui Province.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the prefectural system was abolished, and Suzhou was renamed as Suxian County, belonging to Suxian County in Anhui Province and Xiaoxian County in Jiangsu Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it was established in Suxian County of huaisidao (zhifengyang) in Anhui Province and Xiaoxian County of xuhaidao in Jiangsu Province. In 1927, Dao was abandoned and returned to Su County in Anhui Province and Xiao County in Jiangsu Province. In 1935, the administrative supervision district was established, belonging to Su County, the sixth administrative supervision district in Anhui Province (later changed to the Fourth District), and Xiao County, the Tongshan administrative supervision district in Jiangsu Province.
In June 1949, Suxian county and Xiaoxian County belong to Suxian District of Northern Anhui people's administrative office.
On September 20, 1950, Suxi county was replaced by Suxian county. On November 13, Suxi county was changed into Suixi County, which is under the jurisdiction of Suxian District of the people's Administrative Office of Northern Anhui. In February 1956, Suxian District and Chuxian district were merged into Bengbu district. In November 1957, the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China approved the "preliminary planning and construction scheme for the development of Huaibei Mining Area" and established the Preparatory Office of Zhahe coal mine. In March 1958, it was changed into the Preparatory Office of Suixi coal mine; in May 1958, it was changed into the Preparatory Office of Huaibei coal mine. On March 22, 1959, the 86th plenary session of the State Council decided to abolish Suixi County and establish Suixi city as the administrative region of Suixi County.
On February 17, 1960, the Preparatory Office of Huaibei Coal Mine was changed to Suixi Mining Bureau.
On January 13, 1961, Suixi city was established by Xiangshan area of Xiaoxian county and northern area of Suixi County (Fangcheng brigade and Qugou brigade) and Suixi Mining Bureau. The people's Committee of Suixi city and Suixi County People's Committee worked together, and all Duji and Shuoli communes in the south of Xiaoxian County, four brigades in the west of Zhahe of Yongyu commune and seven brigades in the west of Zhahe of Wuzhuang commune were put under the jurisdiction of Suixi city (1960) On April 16, the people's Committee of Anhui Province issued a notice; on June 17, the suburb of Suixi city was established, with jurisdiction over three communes of Xiangshan, Duji and Gaoyue; on August 4, the report of the people's Committee of Anhui Province was put on record; on December 15, the 114th plenary meeting of the State Council decided to resume Suixi County, with some areas of Suixi city as the center
