[source / prescription] this product is the rhizome of Polygonum viviparum L. In autumn, the leaves, stems, fine roots and silt are removed and dried in the sun.
[character] the product is flat cylindrical or lumpy, often bent into shrimp shape, 2-5cm long, 0.3-1.5cm in diameter; the surface is brown, slightly rough, with dense links and root marks; one side is raised, the other side is flat or slightly grooved; sometimes the apex has brown leaf sheath residues.
