[plant morphology] perennial herb, 10-15cm high. Stem simple, protruding from axils of scales. The leaves are alternate, with long stalks; the leaves are incomplete, double and triple lobed, and the lobules are narrowly obovate or narrowly ovate oblong. Raceme at top of branch; bracts ovate oblong; sepals 2, caducous. Petals 4, purplish red or blue, varying in size, lip shaped, upper lip with a distance, opposite to lower lip; stamen 6; pistil 1, strip-shaped. Capsule fusiform, short columnar. The flowering period is from April to May and the fruiting period is from June to July.
Born in the forest and valley, forest edge. It is produced in Northeast China.
