Arbor, about 15 meters high. Stems dark brown, young branches hairy. Petiole glabrous or glabrous, petiole glabrous to 5.8 cm, leaf blade glabrous or glabrous at base, petiole glabrous to 5.5 cm. Corymbose cymes, terminal or subaxillary; white flowers; calyx 5-lobed, often with glands inside; corolla high pedunculate, throat contracted, 5-lobed, lobes oblong; stamens 5, inserted at the base of corolla; ovary superior, carpel 2, style 1. Follicles cylindrical, two juxtaposed, 28 cm long. Seeds numerous, compressed, apex glabrescent. The flowering period is from April to May. The fruit period is from June to July.
Born in a mixed forest. Distributed in Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi and other places.
