Panicle of spike is 3 cm long, densely covered with light gray yellow pubescence; flowers are dense, yellow, fragrant; perianth is slender, cylindrical, about 8 mm long, about 1.5 mm in diameter, outside densely covered with light yellow pubescence, apex 5-lobed, lobes about 1 mm long; stamens, 10, 2-whorled, filaments short; disk scales 1, 2-2.5 mm long, narrowly cuneate, veined, apex notched Ovary oblong, villous, style short, stigma capitate. Drupe, oblong, ca. 4 mm, black. The flowering period is from April to August. The fruit period is from June to September.
Born on hillside, grassland and roadside. It is distributed in Sichuan and Yunnan.
