Climbing vines. Stem 3 meters long, young branches densely pubescent. The central leaflet is rhomboid obovate, 2.4-6 cm long, 3-lobed, with sparse teeth on the edge, yellow silky pubescence on both sides, dense below, smaller lateral leaflets and slightly oblique; petiole is 2-6.5 cm long. Flowers usually 3.5-4 cm in diameter, pedicels 2-10 cm long, densely yellow pubescent; sepals 4, white or pinkish, densely pubescent outside; apetalous; stamens numerous, glabrous; carpels numerous. Achene oblate ovate, ca. 3 mm long, pubescent, pinnate style 3. 5 cm long, yellow.
On the edge of alpine forest or grassland. It is distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.
