[plant morphology] Diao
Perennial erect herbs, 20-30 cm high. The underground stem is a connected spherical body, which runs horizontally. The lower leaves of stem are opposite; the upper leaves are alternate, oblong, 6-9 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, apex acuminate, entire, green above, gray green below, arc-shaped veins obvious, base obtuse or broadly cuneate, sessile or nearly sessile. Flowers solitary, leaf axils pale green or white, pendulous; perianth 6, tubular, apex dehiscent; stamens 6, 2 exserted; ovary 3-locular, style solitary, linear. The berries are globose and turn black when ripe. The flowering period is July.
Most of them grow on the dead trees in the mountains. It is distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan and other places.
