[plant morphology] rabbita obovata

Annual herb, 50-80 cm high. The leaves are rootlike, obovate elliptic, 6-40 cm long and 2-4 cm wide, serrate at the margin, base decurrent and covered with grayish yellow villi on both sides. There are 3-4 tubular bisexual flowers in the head, cylindrical involucre, hard and unequal bracts, and bare receptacle. Achenes have lines. The seeds have winged hairs.

Born on hillside, grassland and roadside. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.

[collection] harvest in summer and autumn. Cut and dry.

[flavor] slightly bitter, cool.

[function indications] anti inflammatory and diuretic, heat clearing and detoxification. Treatment of acute, chronic nephritis, pyelitis, urinary tract infection.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 1-2 Liang.
