[plant morphology] Cymbidium goeringii
Evergreen subshrub. The stem is 70-100 cm high, green, glabrous, with swollen nodes and longitudinal ridges and grooves between nodes. Leaves opposite, leathery, ovate oblong to lanceolate oblong, 6-16 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, apex acuminate, base pointed or cuneate, margin coarsely serrate except base, tooth tip cementum; petiole 0.5-1.5 cm long, glabrous; stipules sheathed. Flowers small, yellowish green, unisexual, monoecious; unisexual, in axils of a tiny bract, forming terminal spikes; stamen 1, connective expanded into ovate, anther 2-locular; ovary 1, ovate, stigma sessile. Drupe globose, ca. 3 mm in diam., red when ripe. The flowering period is June. The fruit period is from August to September.
It grows in the shade of the jungle. It is distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong, etc.

[clinical application] ① treatment of various inflammatory diseases
Such as pneumonia, acute appendicitis, acute gastroenteritis, bacillary dysentery, abscess, etc. The decoction is usually taken orally, two or three times a day. 2 g or 4 g of crude drug per 2 ml, 1-4 g intramuscular injection each time, 4 times a day for 2-3 days or longer. It has a high inhibitory effect on both cocci and bacilli. Among the 250 cases treated, 244 Cases were effective, accounting for 97.6%; 181 cases were cured, accounting for 72.4%. Some patients' body temperature dropped to normal in 1-2 days. There was no adverse reaction.
② Treatment of filariasis
The adults were given intramuscular injection of 2-4 ml in the concentration of 1:3 Every day for 7 days as a course of treatment. The patients whose blood test did not turn negative for more than 3 days after the course of treatment were given the second to third course of treatment. 28 cases were treated, 18 cases were effective if they were negative in 3 times. ③ Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

④ Prevention of cold

There was no adverse reaction during the course of medication.
