[plant morphology] Nitraria glauca
Perennial herbs, up to 30-60 cm in height. Few branches. Leaves alternate, sessile, lanceolate, 5-6 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, acute, base embracing stem, edge with white needle like teeth, needle as long as 5 mm, green on both sides. The compound capitate inflorescence is round and spherical, with stem apex, about 1-2.5 cm in diameter, white green or light blue; the outer involucre of the small capitate flower is white crown like seta, completely separated. The flowering period is from June to September.
Born in roadside and dune area. Distributed in Liaoning, Jilin, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, Qinghai and other places.
