It is often cultivated as a hedge. It is distributed in Taiwan, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Anhui, Shaanxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Sichuan, etc.
