(Fujian folk herbal medicine)

[source] it is the root of tachypleus tridentatus. See "Ma'an Teng" for plant morphology.

[function indications] it is used to treat wind fire, toothache, rheumatic arthritis, flowing fire and eczema

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 0.5-1 Liang. External use: grind and apply.

[prescription selection] 1. Treatment of toothache caused by wind fire: fresh roots of Caulis maanshanii four to five Liang each time. Take it in water. (Quanzhou materia medica)

② Treatment of rheumatic arthritis pain: one or two dried roots of Maanshan vine, fried with brown sugar or wine.

③ Treatment of Liuhuo (lymphangitis caused by filariasis): one or two dried roots of Maanshan vine, one or two dried roots of maotianxian fruit, one or two dried roots of mouse ear. Take it in water.

④ Treatment of eczema: one or two fresh roots of Caulis maanshanii. Take it with water; wash it with fresh leaf decoction or daub it with juice. (2) Fujian Chinese herbal medicine
