[plant morphology] Artemisia matsutake
Annual herb, 25-60 cm high. All glandular hairy, sticky. Stem erect, upper part much branched. Leaves opposite, 1.5-2.5 cm long and 1-2 cm wide, pinnately divided, lobes oblong on both sides, apical lobes larger, ovoid, margin serrate, with short stalks. Flowers solitary in leaf axils, shortly stipitate; calyx campanulate, 5-lobed, lobes leaflike, long elliptic, margin serrate; corolla tubular, 2-lipped, reddish, ca. 1.5 cm long, throat with 2 yellow stripes, margin ciliate. Capsule ovate oblate, with short hairs. Seeds elliptic, reticulate. The flowering period is from September to October.
It grows on the grass slope of mountain area. It is distributed in most areas of China.
