[plant morphology] lvsongdou

Large woody vines. Leaves opposite, leathery, smooth, oblong or elliptic, 8-20 cm long, apex acute, base cuneate or slightly rounded, with 3 basal veins. Flowers white, mostly in upper leaf axils; calyx short, toothed; corolla tubular, less than 1 cm long. The fruit is round, grayish white and yellowish, gradually turning brown, about 10 cm in diameter or larger; the seeds are mostly wrapped in soft yellow flesh, the fresh seeds are straw color, slightly green, ovate or obtuse triangular shape, slightly flat, about 2.5 cm wide, covered with silvery white fuzz.

It is distributed in Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand.

[medicinal material] the dried and mature seeds are irregular oval, or with edges on one side, 2-3cm in length, 1.5-2CM in width, and 1.5cm in thickness. The appearance is grayish brown, with fine wart spots, and some remain silvery gray and glossy Tricholoma. There is a round hilum at the base. In the longitudinal section, the large endosperm is horny, translucent and grayish brown, with 2 cotyledons in the center. It has no Qi and bitter taste.
