[plant morphology] Crotalaria tetragona
Perennial herbs, 80-100 cm high. Stem erect, branches quadrangular, silky pubescent. Leaves alternate, rectangular linear or linear lanceolate, membranous, 10-16 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, apex acuminate, base rounded, both sides covered with silky short hairs; stipules linear. Raceme terminal and axillary, with 6-10 flowers; bracts linear lanceolate; calyx 2 lip shaped, calyx teeth long, lanceolate, curved into a half moon, outside densely covered with brown yellow silky short hairs; corolla yellow, slightly longer than calyx. The pods are rectangular, 5 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, covered with short brown yellow hairs; the seeds are 12-20, flat. The flowering period is from September to October. The fruit period is from December to February next year.
Born in the wild grass slope. Distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
