[plant morphology] Gracilaria lemaneiformis
Perennial submerged herbs. Stem slender, linear, about 1-1.5 mm in diameter. Leaves linear or filiform, 3-10 cm long; stipules sheathed, 2-3 cm long, membranous. Peduncle is thin and weak, spike is 1-4 cm long, composed of 2-6 rings of interrupted clusters; perianth is 4 pieces, green, tweezers arranged; stamen is 4, without filament; carpel is 4, sessile, separated. Drupe elliptic or broadly ovate, ca. 3-4 mm long, apex shortly beaked, abaxially ridged or rounded, ventrally flat or slightly depressed. The flowering period is from June to July.
In ponds, swamps or ditches. It is distributed in Northeast and northwest of China.
