[plant morphology] Tripterygium stylosum

Evergreen perennial, ca. 40 cm tall. The rhizome is long. Leaves alternate, long petiole, leaf blade long elliptic or broad lanceolate, 7-12 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base broadly cuneate, entire or coarsely toothed. Flowers solitary or racemose in axils. The fruit is subglobose, about 8 mm in diameter, dark purple, with 3 long tips formed by persistent style at the top.

It grows at the foot of the rock, the edge of the ditch and the moist place under the forest. Distributed in Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guizhou, Yunnan and other places.
