[plant morphology] Dongfeng vegetable
Perennial herbs, 1-1.5 m high. Stem erect, round, base smooth, the upper part gradually hairy, twig tip hair dense, sometimes the middle of the stem slightly red. Leaves alternate; basal leaves heart-shaped, 9-24 cm long, 6-18 cm wide; apex pointed, margin serrate or compound serrate, green above, gray white below, with short hairs on both sides; petiole 6-16 cm long, narrow wing, carved after anthesis; upper stem leaves ovate triangular, apex sharp, base heart-shaped or truncate, petiole shorter. The inflorescence is integrated into loose corymbose; involucre is semicircular, bracts are in series, long elliptic, apex obtuse, back green, margin membranous; the edge is glossy flower, white, female, tongue is 10-13 mm long, 2-3 mm wide, tube is about 3 mm long; central tubular flower, yellow, bisexual, Corolla is about 5.5 mm long. Achenes oblong, 3-3.5 mm in length; corolla brownish yellow, varying in length. It blooms in autumn.
Born on dry sunny hillside or open land. It is distributed in the north, East and south of China.
